Merrell Women's Moab 3 MID Shoe, Falcon, 6.5

I use these for work. It's well-made and comfortable. It cradles to your foot, has a nice arch support. Has suede and nylon mesh material so your foot breathes. I usually wear these at least 10 or 12 hours a day. My feet are not as tired at the end of the day as wearing other shoes. Looking forward to wearing these on a hike.

I’m an avid hiker but I do have metatarsal foot pain. I have tried boots that were specifically made for that but I can’t find any boots better than these. They’re so comfortable! They’re warm but not hot. I’ve got the short ones for summer and I put over 500 miles on them this summer and they still have a ton of tread on them. These are water resistant. They have the best toe box of any boot I’ve ever tried. Downhill is never a problem because this toe box is so good and the heal is nice and snug. I did buy half a size up because I wear thicker winter hiking socks. They are great on slick surfaces too- absolutely great traction and non slip. I just love these. Don’t hesitate. Just get them. They’re really great hiking boots!

This is a terrific shoe and I see why it was rated so high for mid weight hiking. I wouldn’t put a lot of weight on my back as they do have some give when stepping over rounded or sharp rocks (you might feel through the sole) but terrific support & I weird them for a week at Acadia National park right out the box. Worked for good grip on smooth granite surfaces and rocky ones too. Not very good on the wet mossy surfaces we encountered but most mid level hikers aren’t (-). Get these , they are now a staple in my house and we will use them all the time on our regular hikes at home ! Oh & I didn’t size up. They fit perfectly on my 7.5 size feet , I wear a 7.5 in all my running shoes also . Get the right medium smart wool or wool blend socks and you are good to go !

Shoppers, I tried more than half a dozen company’s hikers on here, and these were by FAR the most comfortable overall. If you have bunions or wide feet, I strongly suggest going up a half size, which is what I did per reviews; didn’t go with wide width (wanted to see if this would work first). Bought a pair of Merrell medium ankle socks to experiment as well, walked around the house, up/down stairs to “simulate hills” and these were the ONLY boots that did not dig into the front of the ankle/shin while walking upward, or hurt behind the toes where I have bunions. I seriously doubt I’ll ever wear a heavy sock, as I don’t do winter hiking, so I suggest getting a wide width in a half size up for anyone that does. I also tried these later in the day when my feet were swollen to do the best “test.” The reason for the four stars is that one boot has a bit of glue (?) on the top. I have not tried to remove it, as I’m afraid it may make it worse? Otherwise, I’m a 7.5 medium in all shoes/boots, and ordered these in an 8 in the Falcon color (they were on sale for more than half off in that size only-because of the mark on top?). The color is neutral as pictured (I’m just partial to neutrals) and looks great with any outfit I would wear with these to hike, depending on the weather/temp.. Tried to think of everything you may need to know to help you, as so many reviews tend to miss what size they wear/which one they finally went with, etc.. Finding a comfortable hiker is “a journey in itself!”Best to you in finding yours!

Boots look and feel great. Bought for hiking in Grand Canyon. Wore a few times to break in. Feels good immediately. I tried 4 different pairs of boots before I found one that fit good and feels comfortable. I’m a 7.5 size and usually don’t have trouble finding shoes that fit. I have a Merrell pair of tennis shoes and they’re great too. It’s worth the higher price

I'm surprised not to see it as an issue in other reviews. The insoles feel like there's a lump near the arch of the foot. I supposed it is to support the arches but for me they are totally in the wrong place. My feet and legs hurt badly after some walks on them. Have to return them.

I found these suggested for those who have bunions or prescription shoe inserts. This boot felt better than my sneaker does. Ankle lace is great for extra support on trails. Can't wait to walk in the woods in these.

I had a pair of Oboz which I loved (they were much more expensive than these). They were waterproof and often my feet would feel damp after an hour or so because the boots didn’t breathe. I thought that was likely an unavoidable consequence of waterproof hiking boots. Then I bought these and they are waterproof but ALSO breathable. Not sure how they did it but I wish I had known about these years ago. They are comfortable, they don’t make my feet sweat or feel damp, and they are cute. In my opinion they are much better than my Oboz which cost a lot more money. There was no break in period. These were comfortable to wear all day long straight out of the box. They have great traction (important because I live in a climate that is very cold and icy most of the year). These are my favorite shoes now. They feel like tennis shoes, very lightweight, but work like hiking boots. And the best part is they don’t leave my feet damp because they are somehow waterproof AND breathable. Plus they are relatively cheap for a good pair of hiking shoes. Definitely recommend these.

Las usé diario durante 15 días. Hice el Camino de Santiago con ellas. En general, me resultaron buenas. Sin embargo, tuve ampollas. Tal vez porque me quedaron un poquito grandes. Tengo pie pequeño y es difícil encontrar la talla adecuada.

This is my 2nd pair. Love the quality and super comfortable to wear for 6+hrs. Toe box is marginally bigger which is perfect for long hikes when your feet swell. True to size fit.
