I tried variety pack and liked all 3 flavors. They are not too strong flavor profile so I liked them all equally. But I have to say the texture is different than the usual bars I'm used to. As I tried 5-6 of them, it grew on me and I liked them. But for someone trying it for the first time, I have a feeling that it may throw them off. But I personally liked them and they are actually filling. Been eating them as night time cravings to avoid eating stupid food like chips lol. Once you give them a chance you'll start liking them, both in taste and being good in nutrition. Definitely a healthy alternative to my night time cravings.

I wanted to give these 5 stars. I'm so tired of only candy type flavors of vegan protein bars. This company didn't seem to have the nerve to go all the way to make a savory bar. I tried the Everything Bagel flavor, because BBQ can be sweet and I couldn't imagine how something called Margarita Lime would be savory. I don't put sweet toppings on everything bagels, I want the spicy with salty compliments.These have a rice crispy-like base that tastes good and has a good, chewy texture. Note the texture is harder than most rice crispy treats, it could be like hard candy or a candy apple for people with dental troubles. The problem is, they've put a sugary, sticky coating on the rice crispy base. The result is like sweet and sour, only sweet and spicy. If only the sticky syrup had been made with soy sauce instead of sweetener, these would be 10 times more satisfying to eat.I really want to encourage this company for even trying to make a savory protein bar, but the sweet in these just misses the mark for me. Are they afraid to make a bar that isn't sweet? The protein-to-calorie ratio is good. They could make these taste so much better and meet a need for non-sweet bars. "Afar" makes savory vegan protein bars in 4 flavors, but they also missed the taste test for me, with too little salt in the miso flavor and weird combinations in the Indian and Italian ones. At least the Afar bars are not sweet, their Chili Lime favor is the only one I'd buy again.Price-per calorie ratio is better than many, yet still to pricey for people on tight budget. Meat / dairy based protein bars are still far cheaper and plant-based proteins don't cost what the crazy-high prices for vegan food sellers have been trying to charge. We need to get real and build an economy that feeds all people well.

I wasn’t a fan of the Smokey BBQ flavor. To me, it didn’t have enough flavor. The Margarita Lime and Everything Bagel was ok. I think it’s a great option for on the go when you want something savory and not sweet.

Overall: Unique, fun, yummy, and better-for-the planet find from a small business!Re nutrition: I appreciate the high nutritional content of these bars and their quality ingredients, though I do admit I wish there was less sugar and a better quality oil was used. Alongside the savory flavor, this makes them an option one can feel good reaching for at any time of the day for a pick-me-up. They can function as part of a meal or a mid-day snack or even a comfort before bedtime.The flavor is a bit odd but good and who doesn't love something different? (Yes, Nature Valley did just come out with savory bars, but IMO these are better and why not support a small business that thinks creatively? 🙂) The barbeque is my least favorite-mix of barbeque and puffed grains didn't blend overly well and created a bit of cognitive dissonance in how much it departed from the typical sweeter flavors of such bars. The Everything bagel flavor was the favorite (yum!!) and I would love to see a 3g sugar chocolate chili flavor, which I think could walk the paths of sweet and savory very well :)

I received these bars for free to test, and upon opening my first bar and taking a bite, I found it was super hard- I couldn't safely take a bite out of it! I set it down in the wrapper (but open at this point) as I wasn't ready to break any teeth over this. The next day, I tried to take a bite out of it again, and somehow it softened up a lot to be more like a rice crispy treat texture, which was much better. I mostly enjoyed the texture of these, but there was still a kind of odd flavor, not exactly like "everything bagel" but pretty close. These won't be my go-to bars, but would be good to keep in my go-bag in case of emergencies, or in the car for when I'm starving in the future!

I’m a fan of citrus flavors and tangy BBQ but I wasn’t sure how it could come across in energy bars. I was pleasantly surprised. The Margarita Lime has a nice zesty pop of flavor and the Smoky BBQ reminded me a lot of BBQ chips except the macros are way better in these. The everything bagel flavor might be more of an acquired taste for me but I’d definitely get the variety pack again for the first 2 flavors.

The flavors are fine, but the bars are sweet. Not what I was looking for when I bought savory bars.

Highly recommend. I’ve only tried the margarita lime so far, assuming I’d like that the least. I was pleasantly surprised and can’t wait to try the others!
