Rock solid.
It managed to get into this boot loop within the first week, though, which could've been my fault. I had to send it out to Dell. They repaired it and sent it back and it's been running great since. I think they're great computers. Most games I run balls to the wall, with v-sync on. No problems.

Would not turn on!!!
I was very excited to receive my very expensive, first Alienware laptop. Out of the box, it did not disappoint. Software was a little buggy, but that was only a minor annoyance at best. The performance was incredible, I was very pleased. It worked very well, until suddenly it didn't work at all. The power just went off, and it wouldn't turn back on. I assumed that maybe it overheated. I left it off and unplugged for a while, then plugged it back in and let it sit a little longer. Still didn't work. I followed numerous suggestions I found online, but the system remained lifeless. Unfortunately, I was forced to do a return for a refund (replacement was not offered). I'm left with a negative view of Alienware after this experience. Had it concked out a few weeks later, I would have been beyond Amazon's return period. Then, I would have had to deal with the manufacturer. So, great performing laptop, when it works. But, buyer beware....

Excellent buy.
After a year, yeah I would have to say that I would buy it again. Deepseek-r1-14b 24t/sec 70b runs but so slow, perhaps 5 minutes per doc. Runs anygame at 4K above 40 fps.keyboard driver RGB is wonk. after the update it does not keep my settings. whatev

Work’s great!
I bought this for my son. He really likes it and works for what he wanted it for. I would highly recommend.

Great system - runs HOT
Good for everything other than dispersing heat. Needs a tray or something to prop it up to increase the air flow

Stopped working in 30 days - Now what?
Every few years, I get tired of paying more for a new Macbook Pro and decide to buy more computers for my money. I bought the (new) Alienware X16 R1 Gaming Laptop - 16-inch QHD+ 240Hz Display, Intel Core i9-13900HK, 32GB, and was pleasantly surprised at how far Windows had come. I heard about the laptop getting really hot from the YouTube reviews, but let me tell you, this laptop get extremely hot, and I haven't used it for gaming yet. In the second week of use, I noticed my laptop freezing a lot, and all I had open were a few Google Chrome webpages for Edge Windows, and I would have to power the laptop and reopen it. Last week the computer gave me the blue screen error window and now it is just stuck trying to restart. I'm so disappointed that a $3k laptop can't function. I'm going to see how I can get a refund. Fingers crossed. FYI - This has never happened to me with Mac.
