Helpful natural soil amendment for beds and pots
The amendment is in a dark (like humic acid should be), coarse, and granular. Its consistency makes it most easily applied to yard and garden beds. It's definitely workable for larger garden pots, such as 3-gallon on up.

Carrots and cucumbers used to be bitter
Really works !!! My carrots an cucumbers were bitter and unedable until I started adding humate with my regular fertilizer . The are better than delicious now. This will be my third year and I now swear by using humate regularly.

Contrary to claims boldly made by the seller, this product is NOT water soluble!
Unfortunately, I have no choice but to give this product a very low overall rating because of patently bogus claims made by ECOgardener. I regret the need to do this, because for all I know, this may be a good product that will do what it is supposed to do, if it is applied in dry granular form. There's no way for me to know about that, because in order for me (or any other reviewer) to say definitively whether it does or doesn't do what it is fundamentally supposed to do, a carefully controlled scientific experiment is absolutely essential. It would take several weeks at least. One thing that I find amusing is the number of people who claim that some favorite fertilizer is miraculous when the truth is that they don't have any idea if it works at all, or any idea of the circumstances in which it does or doesn't work, because they have not done any controlled, scientific experiment.I can say definitively that this granulated humic acid product absolutely does NOT dissolve in water. The first bullet item in the "About this item" section of the product description states that:"You can dilute the powder in water as a foliar spray. The granular humic acid is water soluble. It dissolves fully in water, and the solution can be sprayed directly on plants and soil."This is the most patently false product claim I've ever encountered. It isn't even a powder. It is granular, and it absolutely does not dissolve in water. I took them on their word. I added several tablespoons to my sprayer, along with some liquid micronutrient. I was able to get through several tankfuls (a small 2.5 gallon tank) before it became obvious that something was wrong. On the 3rd or 4th tank, nothing was coming out of the nozzle at the end of the wand, even though the tank was fully pressurized. By vigorously shaking the tank, I was able to finish spraying that tankful, then I dumped the contents of the tank into a plastic bucket. When I shook the tank I knew what was wrong because it sounded like a bunch of BBs. I had to rinse out the tank, and I added that water to the bucket. After a couple of hours I checked on the bucket to see if the stuff had eventually dissolved, but it still had not dissolved. Possibly a little, but after a couple of hours it should have dissolved fully, in order for the claim of solubility in water to be truthful.Possibly, if you apply it to a small lawn or garden as you would a granular fertilizer, sprinkling it by hand or using a spreader of some sort, it might actually do what it is supposed to do. The problem is that, since ECOgardener simply made up the part about it being water soluble, why should I believe anything else that they say?

pH Support
Helps balance pH in the soil. I use as top dress and find my acidity drops a little.
