SAP NetWeaver BW 7.3—Practical Guide

I've been working my way through this book, and have really learned a lot. I really appreciate the example company that the book uses to allow us to create objects to support the warehouse model. The download files were easy to find, and the course has been pretty much frustration-free.

I didn't find the quality of instructions that I was seeking. I'd expect a BW book this thick to cover more of the master data hierarchies and loading of the master data such as using master data object as source of transformation versus routine.

I ask the data and I got it, a good book and I am recommended to those new in SAP BW/BI.

This book is very usefull. Have detail information on BW 7.3Practice made very easy with this book.Just go with this .....

If you are already familiar with the continually morphing landscape of products and offerings from SAP, and just want to learn about BW, then this is a good "practical guide" to BW, just as the title claims.However, I wish there were more context information and how BW relates to other SAP products. It's not easy to achieve without releasing new editions every 6 months as SAP's offerings change. There's a decent attempt to touch on HANA for example in this edition, which is commendable. If only there were more context and related products information, such as HANA or SAP DataServices, and how they fit or don't fit BW, what's their relation and use cases etc, it would've been 5 stars. Maybe in next edition?

Very lucid explanation for all the Business Warehousing concepts. Though I worked on most of the things , I used to stumble upon some concepts and was finally I was able to identify that my basics were not so strong. I came across this book, literally ate it from the start to finish > If you want to clear your basics just go for it.

The book is organized well and is way better than bw7 book. This book makes you feel comfortable to read and undrrstand, because it's blended the technical content with day to day examples and explanations which makes easy even for a reader who's totally new to BW to understand clearly. Also, it hasn't bored someone like me who's already experienced in BW.
