Purchased plastic before, wasn’t good. This one is metal, really good

much better than nothing, not foolproof
I had to paint the device to match the background color of my house - bright blue would only attract people and kids to it. Also, the lock is unusual and I'm not sure it would hold up under various weather conditions. I will get another and two regular padlocks to protect an outdoors faucet and a propane tank from easy tampering.
