BFS! BFS!
An 8.1 GR BFS reel for $40? Ya this is gonna break in days, too cheap to be any good....... Put it on a MLF rod and tied my homemade 1/8oz skirted crappie jig and off to testing. Holy crap, it works! It works well, feels amazing, and boy can it cast. 30+ yds on 1/8? Check. Clean retrieve? Check. Nasty drag for the trophy slabs? Check. Very impressed by this reel so far. Bought it cuz I saw it on Kuphall's boat at Guntersville when he blasted the field. Good enough for him, good enough for me. He's a pro, I'm not. Would be devastatingly effective for flipping medium cover I believe, based on the specs and what I know it does well. For short porching frogs or as a heavier BFS reel, it just wows me. Ordering 2 more: OG will be for BFS, 6.6 for frogs, and the new 8.1 for flipping. Nice find. Bought a PFun years ago and the difference is amazing. Way to step up. Easily competes w/$100 range reels.

Great reel
This little reel is great for the money. I should buy 10 of them. Which would last me the rest of my life. I took it out fishing and compared it to my Shimano alderbaron which is not fair. But, the little red reel held it own. Same bait was cast with the Shimano and the little red. Neither backlashed on any throw. The little red would not cast as far as the Shimano but was within a yard or so on distance. 20 dollars vs 400 dollars I think everybody should buy little red.

Quality baitcaster with BFS spool.
I found Spark to be a quality reel. I comes with a shallow spool for BFS. When properly tuned. You will not get bird cages. This goes for all baitcaster. Set the tension first. To match the weight of the lure. Set the magnets next to stop the spool at the end of the cast. This prevents the spool from throwing ling at the end of the cast. The lure will drop in the water and the magnets stop the spool. The last thing is set the drag. Do not over tension the drag. You do not want it cutting into the line on the spool. Be patience when setting. Missed tuned reels will make any reel look bad. In the photo the spark is on the bottom. It is matched to a Bass Pro Power Plus Graphite 5' lite action rod. I fish mainly for trout in the Iowa Driftless. Those spincast are all Zebco 33 micro's. My wire swears by them on Shakespeare micro series rods. I 3D printed the hangers and reel holders.

Great Buy
Decided to try this out as it is a good buy and was completely amazed at it on my 1st fishing trip with it. Works flawlessly and cast smooth and easy. Matter of fact I liked it so well I just purchased another one.

Would buy again and recommend
You definitely want to spool 8 lb line and throw 1/8 or less weighted bait. I’ve fished multiple times and caught more than a dozen fish. For the money I’d say it fishes close to other $100 to$150 reels I have in my arsenal.

I am shocked no pun intended
This was a very pleasant surprise after my experience with the KastKing bait caster I tried in the same price range. It was very easy to adjust and has smooth retrieve. I haven’t thrown anything really light on it but with 15 lb braid I can throw a small Texas rig with just an 1/8 oz bullet weight and light 3” worm. I have it on a shorter stiffer rod just using it for light jigging and small Texas rigs. I’m going to try the 5.4:1 Torrent next I need a slow mid light for finesse/wacky rigs.

Great BFS Reel
Do not be mistaken, this is not a full size spool. This is a BFS reel. And as that it feels great. You can still hold plenty of line on it to make a cast. I would only stick to braid on this reel just for the spool size. I promise you this does not feel like a 39 dollar reel. This feels like more like closer to 70 to 100 dollars. And its great they can get away with a cheap price cause they do not go thru shops to sell, they only sell straight to consumer. You can tell alot of engineering went into their new Spark line. Love to see Piscifun grow like they are. The red and black is a great look. I was thinking the red would be too bright but it definitely is not.

Just Get it, and You actually be surprised.
If you're like me and you can't Handle the Big fat round Knobs of a Lew's Reel and You like Thin flat Ergonomic contoured handles. . . Then this your Reel. The only thing I didn't like is the line capacity of the spool. It's about 1/2-2/3 of what I usually wind on a Reel. But I still get decent capacity running 20-30lbs braid.

Looks great
Looks great but I haven't used it yet. Very excited to spool it up and check out the performance. Here and now, it feels solid and looks sharp.

Great bang for your buck
First off great reel for the price. I had an old shimano bait caster that broke so decided to try this new set up out (on Berkley lightening rod) and its great. Getting back into using a bait caster as I've been using spin casters as of late and this reel casts smooth and feels good in the hand. Had the breaks dialed in within a few casts and only had one small bird nest within the process afterwards it was smooth to use and no more bird nest. All in all id buy another.
