Bittersweet Goodbye to Iron Fey Series
This is it...the very last Iron Fey book. I'll just let that sink in for a bit. No more fey, no more hilarious talking cats, no more Puck, Ash, or Meghan. Okay...deep breath...The Iron Warrior is a fantastic ending to a even more fantastic series. This series has been a part of my life for so long, and I have been invested since the very first page. Julie Kagawa pulled me in and never let me go. I was easily immersed in the faerie world, and I never wanted to leave. This series will always have a special place in my heart as it was one of the first series I read that featured faeries. And it was the first faerie book that I absolutely adored. Ms. Kagawa simply has a way of writing that gets into your heart and always has a special place. She crafts stories that leave you breathless and on the edge of your seat until the very last page.So after that killer finale (see what I did there), I had no idea what was going to happen in this book. It's no secret that Ethan isn't dead (not that I ever thought he was), but now he has to travel through the Nevernever, the Between, and to areas that few fey ever venture to, in order to save everyone from Kierran and the Forgotten. Kierran has gone completely cuckoo for coco puffs, and has declared war on all the courts, all in the name of the Lady/One True Queen. From beginning to end, this was an exciting novel. I loved coming back to the Nevernever, and seeing all of our old favorites: Ash, Meghan, Puck, Grim, etc. But these past couple of books have always been Ethan's books, and he truly shines in this novel. He has grown so much from the beginning, and has finally accepted how his life is. Ethan realizes why Meghan did what she did, and that she never meant for Ethan to feel abandoned. There were some truly touching moments between Ethan and Meghan that were everything I could have ever asked for. They were truly beautiful moments between brother and sister, something that hasn't happened for a very long time for the two of them. Kenzie was hilarious and amazing, and I was so happy that she and the cutie that is Razor were back for another crazy whirlwind adventure. Kenzie and Ethan are wonderful together, and while not as good as Ash and Meghan, I still love them as a couple.Ms. Kagawa definitely didn't hold back with this finale. Sacrifices were made, and yes, people had to die. It was especially sad with one particular character's death (which I won't spoil, but seriously...it was a tearjerker). I was hoping that there would be some sort of faerie loophole (since we all know how faeries love loopholes) that would allow that character to return, but alas...it didn't happen. Nevertheless, this was a very strong ending to the series that was filled with twist and turns until the very end. The story very fast-paced, but it was perfect for the story. Never once did it drag or get boring. Every step played a role in their ultimate challenge/ending, and I loved seeing how everything came together in the end.Overall, this was an amazing end to an amazing series, and I am very sad to see it go. The ending was definitely open-ended for Ms. Kagawa to revisit the Nevernever again someday, but for now, I have to say goodbye to my beloved characters. This is a series that will always have a special place in my heart, and will be re-read forever. Thank you Julie Kagawa for giving me and other readers such an amazing series that has had such an impact on all of us; a series that has taught as to love and always fight with everything we have, even when the odds are against us.Happy reading :)

The End of an Era!!
The end of an era! I remember when I first picked up Julie Kagawa’s Iron Fey Chronicles. I had actually won the first two books in a contest, one of my first contest wins, and immediately upon reading them I fell in love. I soon couldn’t wait to get my hands on the next one. Then when the Call of the Forgotten trilogy began, I knew we were likely reaching an end, but it was done incredibly! The Iron Warrior is the final Iron Fey book and while this does cause me to be sad, all good things must come to an end.The wait for The Iron Warrior has been long and hard. I read The Iron Traitor as an ARC, so I know what I’m talking about! My throat is still sore from those screaming hours, lol! But naturally, a part of me knew that wasn’t the end. Though trying to explain logic like that to a reader is just wasted breath! Even to oneself! We pick up right where we left off, and as you might already guess, Ethan survives being killed by his nephew. He had died for just minutes really, and in that time, the Veil was gone and humans could see the fey. There was utter chaos for those brief moments, and then when Ethan is revived, everyone forgets those few moments when their reality had been much crashed. It’s the Forgotten Queen’s plan to make that brief moment a reality, by destroying the Veil permanently, humans will see, fear, and believe in faeries again. The Forgotten Ones will be remembered and revived. Though in order to achieve this, Ethan must die. For good this time. Naturally, Ethan isn’t going to let that happen. In order to save Faery and basically, the human world, Ethan and Kenzie must find Annwyl and the amulet she carries that holds Keirran’s soul. Restoring Keirran’s soul is only the first step in trying to restore order. War is on the brink between the Forgotten and the Courts. The Iron Warrior was nothing short of epic and amazing!! There was a lot of action, dire circumstances, romance, laughter, and death even. There was hardly ever a dull moment. Best yet, once again, we get to see everyone again, one last time. From Meghan, Ash, and Puck to Grimalkin, Wolf, Thin Man and the other Faery rulers. Though I kind of wished we could’ve seen Puck play a prank on Titania, she is so very annoying! I still can’t believe this is the end of the series. I’m not ready to let go of these characters yet, but this is our final adventure with them.I loved this series from the very beginning! Each book has been filled with laughs, tears, and heartache, but it takes an incredibly amazing read to do that you every time, let alone an incredible author! And Julie Kagawa is beyond incredible! I will pretty much be reading anything with her name on it, like I have been doing since the getgo!Julie truly ended the series in the perfect way. It’s the sort of ending where everything is wrapped up, yet you leave the characters knowing they’ll be alright. You know they are set into the right ending…be it happy or not, for I won’t tell! But you pretty much know going in what to expect. While it saddens me to say goodbye, I am quite pleased with where things are. This entire series has been perfect and it’s been a delight to read! Though we won’t mention this too many years wait for this book to come out, yeah, not mentioning the feels on that!!If you haven’t read the Iron Fey Chronicles, I highly recommend it! These were among the first Paranormal YA books I’ve read and they were fast to become my among my favorites!Overall Rating 5/5 stars

A fitting end to a favourite series
This epic series comes to a close beautifully in The Iron Warrior. All of our favourites make an appearance as the courts come together to fight the forgotten and play out the prophecy.Keirran will unite the courts or destroy them. Meghan will have to choose between her kingdom and her son. Ash and Puck will fight together once more. The fate of the Nevernever rests on them all, and they're not going down without a fight.
