Clip Socket Car Mount

I really want to love this item. I’ve been searching for a car mount that isn’t big and bulky, but also didn’t want to use a magnetic mount. Enter the pop socket car mount. Me: AMAZING IT’S EXACTLY WHAT I NEED!Reality: Guys. Pop sockets SPIN. So my phone continuously rotates and settles being upside down. Not helpful when following GPS directions.Now, the issue may be with my pop socket placement. I’m planning to replace it and see if that impacts the car mount performance.Update: still doesn’t work. Returning.

The clip works well on my 1st Gen Tacoma The clip has two widths, I am thinking that those who mentioned it was not a good fit for the vent might need to adjust 90 degrees. It holds tight for me. The Socket holds tight too, but not too tight. I can get it disconnected fairly easily.

Does not function well when you have your popsocket attached to the bottom 1/2 of your phone because any movement in the car and the phone flips to the side or upside down. I imagine if you had your pop socket attached in the middle of at the top it would work better but that position doesn't work for me.

Not pleased yet. It fits my popsocket perfectly but once in the air vent my phone is so heave that it doesn't hold it up.. I got so frustrated this morning I just took it off. Will try for a whole but looks like in will be returning this.

Reviews were a little mixed when I was deciding whether to buy this, but I really wanted a popsocket and love having a car mount so this was one of the only options to have both. This has turned out to work WONDERFULLY for me. It stays in the car vent and my phone stays the way I want it though face. Sometimes the 360 rotation will losen, but with a quick tighten it is good to go! Would definitely recommend if you have a popsocket and want to mount your phone for you GPS etc.

This car mount works great for me and holds my Galaxy S8 perfectly in place! I am able to angle it so my phone is slightly tilted towards me, providing easy view of my GPS. But beware, it has to be put on the bottom shutter of a vent, otherwise the weight of the phone causes the vent to shut and the mount to slide off.

I bought this after using the car mount with the sticky on the back (which would fall off all the time). This is super sturdy and you can lock it in place once you get a good angle for you phone. You have to play around with which vent you can put it on, but it's great!

It does the job. The only annoying thing about it is that I have to take it in and out of the air vent when I car in the car because my phone won’t slide in as easily as I hoped. It also moves more than I’d like, in constantly having to push my phone back. However it does allow me to somewhat easily see my phone when I use the GPS.
