Really Enjoyable!!
Just started reading NC Reed and discovered a new favorite author. Thoroughly enjoyed this novel, the characters, the storyline, and the follow through with a glimpse of what comes next. Once you've finished this story, search for more by NC Reed, you won't be disappointed.

Try good but not my favorite.
The characters were good but I wanted more of Tammy and Ringo together. No real chance of a romance and just as we are getting there it's the end .

Apocalyptic-Thriller that will keep you thinking that this could happen the way the storyline goes.
If this book wasn't published in 2015 (four years prior to covid-19), I believe that the author just changed a few details and the extent of the aftermath of the virus to fit his storyline with some obvious changes but obviously that's not the case.A deadly virus is accidentally released into the community in Africa that leaves its victims with rabies like symptoms usually found only in primates. This virus is carried unknown from region to region around the world by travelers flying from one airport and country to the other created by non other than those who are charged with battling diseases and keeping the world safe. As the virus moves it way around the world, it brings civilization and governments down within days to less than just a few weeks.TAMMY AND RINGO by N.C. Reed is definitely going to leave you thinking as bad as covid was and is, thank GOD it is or wasn't worse. As with all of the books I have read by N.C. Reed, this book is well written, full of suspense, hardships, loss, and heroic deeds by the main characters. The cast are believable to the point that you'll find yourself feeling as if you are right there going through their struggles, losses, and triumphs. As with all of the books I have had the chance to read by N.C. Reed, I really enjoyed this book, the way he tells his story, and this voice in which he writes with. I hope you, too, will find yourself enjoying this book.I also highly recommend his 'Fire From The Sky' series. It's one of my favorite post-apocalyptic science fiction series I have read.

Survival!
Tammy and Ringo by N.C. Reed.Tammy is a college athlete. When she gets a call from her Army Sergeant Father telling her to get back to her home on base at Ft. Bragg, she packs her gear and hits the road immediately. As she is entering the freeway, she sees a young man fighting off several people who appear to be Zombies, he's using a Samurai sword but is still being overrun. Tammy grabs her softball bat and wades in to help him... this is how Tammy meets Ringo. You now know everything you need to know about this book. Tammy. Ringo. Zombies.I HATE zombie books. But I liked this one! The zombies are the result of a government lab creating chemicals for warfare purposes. Someone put together a virulent strain of rabies that somehow escaped a secret lab in Africa, then got spread to the world by airline passengers. Almost overnight, every country had been infected. These zombies aren't reanimated dead, but manufactured from the living. The adventures of Tammy and Ringo (just Ringo) drive this story from front to back. It's a good story with great characters. The plot is believable. Who doesn't believe that the goverment wouldn't come up with some super infectious agent and that it could accidently get loose upon the world? The book doesn't dwell on zombie attacks or battles with the zombies. It does cover what we could expect if something like this ever happens. What preparations could be made. It also covers the relationships that can develop during trying times like those in this book.I was desperately looking for something good to read when I remembered that Tammy and Ringo was the only book by N.C. Reed that I haven't read, so I purchased it. As with everything Reed has written, T&R was also outstanding. As I said... Zombies. But in spite of that, this is an amazing story.I command you to read this book!

Nice job
A pretty good book, written by an author learning his skills. His characters are a bit one-sided, either all good or all bad, but characterization will improve the more he writes. The author obviously knows his weapons, but he doesn't beat the reader over the head with it. Learned something about Ruger Mini-14s I didn't know, grateful for that, although I'll check to see it's factually correct. This book has all the feelings of a series, yet there was no acknowledgement of another book in the works.Tammy and Ringo was my first book by this author. I'm encouraged by it to read more.If the author is reading this, the line Dumbo the Clown made me snort with laughter. Much obliged, I appreciate and shared the sentiment.

An amazing book!
For those of you who like a good story line and survival, this book is excellent! Just enough technical things to learn from. Just an excellent adventure!

Stopped in the middle if the story!
This was a great book until it just abruptly ended right in the middle of the story! I’ve read all 14 of the Fire from the Sky books as well as both Storm Crow books and loved each one. Was enjoying Tammy and Ringo until it just ended and left me hanging with so many loose strings…🤬

Doesn't disappoint!
I don't usually care for zombie-apocalypse fiction, but this one is by N.C. Reed, and I'll read pretty much anything Mr Reed wants to write. This one grabbed me right from the first chapter with the interesting protagonists Tammy and Ringo. Other characters introduced later are also three-dimensional, making for a good read despite the zombies.
