Luscious face cleaner
This cleansing balm is beautiful to use. It glides over dry skin using just fingertips to massage all over face and neck. I was nervous to rub it over my eyes initially but it was gentle and lifted off all my eye makeup easily. Removing the cleanser with a wet face sponge or wet face cloth was easy and my face felt lovely and soft and clean. .

great alternative to more common options
i have never heard of this brand but i am pleased that i tried this out. the tub is of medium size and you do not need much when applying the product so it will last you a long time. When opening the product you are greeted with a very pleasant raspberry smell which is not overpowering. it doesn't require much for the product to 'melt' onto your skin when applied and at the same time effortlessly removes makeup and moisturizes the skin.this is a great alternative to try if you are getting tired of your usual shop brought brands and want to try something new!

Does the job
I had expected this to be greasy, but gave it a go anyway. Works better than any other makeup remover I've used.

lovely texture, works well on waterproof makeup
The media could not be loaded. I have not tried a whole bunch of cleansing balms so I can't compare it to too many other brands but from the ones I have tried this is my favourite. The texture, although appears very solid and candle like, is very soft and smooth like whipped butter, it even feels amazing on the fingers. It should be applied to dry skin and gently massaged in, the body heat will turn the balm into oil which will cleanse away makeup, dirt, excess oil and anything that has gathered on your face during the day. It works well to remove waterproof products but removing waterproof mascara takes a bit longer than with liquid oil cleanser (but not longer than other balms I've tried) and it takes a bit of gentle rubbing to get the mascara off.The balm/oil cleansing should then be followed up by regular gel or foaming cleanser to clean off all the gunk and oils. The balm does not dry out the skin and is very gentle. It does have a noticeable scent but not over-powering, slightly floral but herbal and green plant scent for the most part.I really enjoy the texture and softening effects of this cleansing balm but I do see it as a luxury product since simple oil cleansers get the job done just as well, the only difference is that this has more ingredients that are beneficial for the skin and hydration than regular cleansing oil.

Gorgeous Cleansing Balm
I had not heard of the Ella & Jo brand before, but now understand that they are an Irish skincare company who make a range of skincare with an emphasis on counteracting the effects of ageing and dehydration. This sounded perfect for me so I was keen to try some of the products for myself. This product is the Melt The Daily Away Cleansing Balm which is designed for nighttime cleansing. I have not used a cleanser that was specifically for night time before, but it really is perfect for an end of the day beauty routine. It contains squalane, raspberry seed oil, grapeseed oil, sunflower oil and coconut oil. You only need a tiny amount of the balm and it dissolves makeup, including eye makeup, and cleans away dirt and impurities. It feels quite luxurious to use and has a lovely, calming aroma. You remove it with a damp cloth and I love that it really does get removed as sometimes with cleansing balm you feel like there is residue left on your skin. This just makes your skin feel super clean and very cared for,There really is nothing to dislike about this product. The packaging, the texture and the aroma are all lovely and most of all, the fact that it cleanses your skin so well, and in such a caring way it really can’t be beaten. Granted, it’s not the cheapest, but as you use so little, it should last quite a while. Once opened you have 12 months to use it as well, which I think is good as quite often things have quite a short life once they are opened. I have tried other Ella & Jo products and they are all great and it is a range that is definitely worth exploring.

Quite oily!
Very oily with thick consistency.First time I used it I was very happy with it. I used it to remove mascara and it removed the make up well. However the second time I was in a rush and it didn’t work that well. So it needs a bit patience. Overall I’m happy with it because I have a tendency to dry skin so oily products work very well but it’s not for everyone.

Lovely cleanser
This is pricey for a make up / cleanser but it's great if travelling, no more packing a cleanser and make up remover as this does both jobs and leaves your skin feeling refreshed and looking great.it is very thick so you don't need that much or it's just a waste of product.Lovely fresh raspberry aroma to this although not over powering, as with all cleansers keep away from your mouth, i got a little bit on my lips and i wouldn't recommend it unless you like burning lips although the feeling doesn't last more than a few seconds once you wipe it off.I have sensitive, t zone skin so i cover most skin types and all i have experienced is fresh looking skin
