Roarhowl Metallic sparkle temporary tattoos, gold, silver, suitable for all skin tones (silvery 3)

These are wonderful for times when you want a fun fake tattoo. They come in so many designs and sizes and they are easy to apply. It's true that they really don't last long but for an evening or so they are wonderful. I'm really happy with them and my grandkids have had fun with them as well.

These are actually very pretty designs. Most are delicate and have a lot of details to them however this is also their main failing. The designs are so delicate that when applied they can almost disappear because the linework is so fine. You have to catch them in just the right light for them to really show up which sort of defeats the purpose. The designs with the thicker lines fair much better, the 'shine' is more prominent and they stand out, but in the set I got (silvery 4) most of the designs are on the finer side which makes them a bit disappointing. I tried these on a few people to see how they would show up and on paler skin you could see them however on more sun exposed skin they basically were illegible unless the light catches them (see images), so I don't believe these will work for everyone, at least not all the designs.The quality of the tattoos themselves are great. They go on faster than any other temporary one I've tried in the past, takes less than a minute, and they hold for a long time. They do have a bit of a stiffness to them for the first half an hour or so with an outline of the transfer glue visible however this wears off quickly. I just wish they were a bit more bolder in their imagery to really stand out. I would recommend these if you plan on being in bright light (outdoors) where the shine will actually be noticeable, or want a more subtle, delicate design.

$9.99 currently gives you 8 sheets of tattoos. You can pick between silver and gold and two different styles. I ordered the silver version and picked the style that seemed to have smaller tattoos on the sheets.They are still quite big, but I'm also a very tiny person...I tried a narrow tattoo on my under arm and made pictures for you in different light settings. They are definitely sparkly as advertised, but you can also see the non-colored opaque background being reflective as well. And that is not just in bright sunlight, it is with any situation where you are not in complete shade. So people will know that this is a temporary tattoo. But that is true for any of those, no matter the brand. And they all wrinkle weirdly when the skin they are on is twisted. So that is a known factor and can not be held against temporary tattoos.The individual tattoos are well made. There are no blurry lines, though some of them look as if they where hand drawn, which is ok as this is a more Henna style art anyways. And they definitely don't look as if a child has drawn them.What I absolutely like is the thought the manufacturer has put into the packaging. The sheets come in a small plastic bag with the instructions printed on the front and back. Therefore avoiding an additional instruction sheet and reducing landfill. Well done and I can recommend this product eventhough it only lasts for 1day. The second to last picture is after 20h and the last is after 48h.

The look of these tattoos can depend on skin tones and where the tattoos are placed on the body.

OK, I don't wear decals on my body, so my goal is finesse & size appropriate to my work. I tend to like small, delicate, & pretty decals, but it's very hard to find any, so I took a shot. These are not so much that.The initial photo they show is wildly out of proportion to actual sizes. Look to their 2nd picture to get a more realistic size reference, but keep in mind the sheets are each 9.4" tall x 6.7" across, so some of these are quite huge.The 2 full sheets of 'straight' Bands are poorly done, with the skill level of a 6 yr old - with shaky hands. It's intentional, but I just hate that. How hard would it be to make a straight line. I can do it, even at 70. You got a computer - use it!The big images are done with the computer, & are much more attractive & useful. That said - they're Huge. That butterfly necklace shown (just under the leg band) is actually 8.5" wide, & the leg band is 9" x 2.75".I also noticed that the clear background on these is pretty shimmery, & does not disappear when applied. Be sure to trim as close to the decal edge as you can, to avoid having a blob shimmering in the light, when not seen in the exact angle needed to show off just the gold. These are already huge, adding that much background shimmer will not enhance the look.Overall, if you like huge decals, these are a good price for what you get. Many are actually quite pretty, but the 2 full sheets of childish squiggles is a waste. No adult wants to look like a little kid drew on them in gold ink. Fix that, & I'd give it 4 stars.

I think these are lovely temporary tattoo's. I'm probably too old to be messing with them but luckily I don't care! All of mine are well printed, no blurring or pixelation anywhere. As others have noted a lot of them are quite large but there are smaller ones as well. Personally I have no issue with any of the sizes that these have come in and they will all be used. They're applied just like all other temporary tattoos and removed with rubbing alcohol if you want them off before the wear off on their own. Most of mine say they last 3-15 days, some say 3-10. This is going to vary by a person's ph, by how much you sweat, how much you wash/get your skin wet. I don't tend to leave mine on to the max amount of time regardless so unless you're wanting something to last a month and you've used temporary tattoos before, I don't think you'll be too disappointed. The only caveat is that with the silver ones if your skin is too light you may have issues with it not showing up to well so do bear that in mind. Otherwise I think these are all just so pretty.
