I love this pen - purple is my color, and I officiate weddings - it looks great. There are legal requirements for the ink used to sign a wedding license, and sometimes it is hard to come up with a pen that uses Black or Blue Ink - not gel. So I now carry my own in my wedding portfolio to avoid having to search around the venue for a pen with black or blue non-gel ink. This pen writes very smoothly.It also comes with two black refills which I also carry with it just in case it runs out.

Nice texture for grip. Good writer. Gift for family member. Would recommend.

This beautiful and apparently well made pen uses a proprietary refill that is almost impossible to find. Schmidt does not make one and that says a lot. From the side it looks identical to a Schmidt 888 but the the front sleeve is SQUARE, not round. And the diameter of the metal part at the front that actually holds the ball is smaller than normal. The 888 will not fit and I am certain that nothing else will.You might be able to drill out the tip to fit the 888 but it would have been better if the manufacturer had designed it to fit the 888 or some other standard model.You are advised not to buy this very attractive pen. How sad.01/16/2024So. The vendor offered to send me a pack of 20 refills. Thats customer service.

Odd mechanism where you have to actively push down to write....very tiring and annoying.
