I was hesitant because of all the sponsored reviews but....
I'm glad I made this purchase. I originally wanted a double bass pedal but realized I'd have to order a different kick pad. As my original pad won't work for double bass. It was cheaper to buy a pad and this pedal. Soon worth it

Nice design, cheaper materials, you'll need a new beater fast!
For the price, you get the design of a Tama Iron Cobra for a third of the price but with material quality trade offs. Trade offs are thinner metal (pedal vibrates) and a shorter, weaker beater (bent after an hour of practice). I use a DW 5000, which is 5 times the cost of the Starfavor, and I'm coming from that perspective. But the Starfavor looks to be closer in design to a Tama Iron Cobra 600, which is still 3 times the price of a Starfavor.Pros: Good design, feels smooth. Beater head is better than other budget pedals (but worthless, see cons).Cons: Beater bends easily, shorter than competition, completely worthless. Because metal foot-board and plate is thinner than more expensive pedals, you can feel the pedal vibrate from the thumps as you use it.Final thoughts: I think there is a good place for these budget pedals - they are much better in feel than the cheap major brand pedals I started out with. I've bought these budget pedals a couple times and the weakest link is always the beater, they bend super easily. You'll need to factor in buying a quality beater at the get-go, so factor in another $20-$30. That's only a little less than a PDP (by DW) 800 series with similar features (I haven't tried that pedal) so it might be worth checking that out first. Don't be fooled into thinking this is as good as a Tama Iron Cobra, but it does punch above it's price compared to an Iron Cobra (except that terrible beater).

Better Options Out There
After reading reviews, I ordered this Starfavor pedal as one of my backup pedals for one of my 4 gigging kits. I currently use a lightning fast, single chain DW 5000 as my main kit pedal, with a DW 3000 in the backup position. The Starfavor was going to be used for my rehearsal kit with my Camco chain drive as it's backup. So the pedal arrives and my expectations are high. Upon pulling it out of the packaging, I started to play with the footboard and was quite surprised at how loose the heel and footboard joint was. The pedal just kind of flopped around, side to side, with me only using the palm of my hand to put pressure on the footboard. I then tried to attach it to my bass drum hoop, but the clamp did not seem to want to cooperate and function. I'm not sure if this is a design flaw, or just I received a really shoddily manufactured pedal, but after 5 minutes with the pedal I re-packaged it and sent it out for return to Amazon. This may make a good beginners pedal, but if you're a gigging drummer I would spend a few more dollars and buy a new DW 2000 pedal. Matter of fact, that is what I did!

Nice pedal
Works as well as other, much more expensive pedals that I've used in the past. Seems to be of durable construction.

Bonne ajustement et la grippe de caoutchouc retient bien sur le cerceau du bass drum
