Weight Watchers Scales by Conair Scale for Body Weight, Digital Bathroom Scale in White Marble Finish

I chose this scale because it was recommended by Consumer Reports, which gave it top marks for accuracy, consistency, measuring when weight is not evenly balanced, and ease of use. I've been using it once a week for about two months now and am pleased with it. It comes with a sticker in the middle that tells you to tap there to turn it on before weighing yourself. That has never worked for me, but setting it down on the floor does the trick. You have to use it on a perfectly flat, even, hard surface. I had been using it on my bathroom floor, which was tiled in a somewhat amateurish fashion with small penny tiles by the previous owner, and getting inconsistent results. I put it on the wood floor outside the bathroom, which is more even, and now the results are very consistent. The screen is backlit and easy to read, and it lists weight to one tenth of a pound.

Short story is that this is a nice bathroom scale. Easy-read display and appears accurate. The longer story is that it took a while to figure out how to easily activate it. I was debating returning it because it would not turn on easily when following its instructions. TIt came with a large round green sticker at the middle of the scale platform that says "Tap here. Wait for 0. Step on." However, it took multiple heavy foot thumps on the green sticker to get mine going, not just a tap. After a week, discovered that it turned on much more easily with a tap forward of that sticker and just below the weight display. Problem solved so I am keeping it.

It just doesn't work the way any other scale I ever had. I don't know what the problem is. When I get it out for a weight, you step on and it goes blank after it goes through its thing. Sometimes you have step on 2 to 3 times before you get your weight. To much time for a morning weigh in.

Our previous scale was an earlier version of the WW scale. It worked good for years, but the years had taken its toll on the rubber feet, wearking them down and finnaly loosing one. It still worked, but the hassle of getting it set just right to weigh early in the a.m., pre coffee was too much.This newer version is actually slightly smaller in size and weight. The readings between this and the old scale were almost the same. One big advantage is the backlit readout. The old scale had small liquid crystal with no light. The numerals on this scale are larger and backlit, so that bleary eyes have a chance or reading much easier.

Item arrived defective. I have similar scales at my other residences so I am familiar with how these work. I also read the instructions carefully just to be sure I wasn't missing something. It lights up, but nothing else. Problems happen, but I must suspect this was shipped defective. Why aren't these tested before packaged up from the manufacturer?The instruction manual says NOT to open the battery compartment and it's screwed on. I thought both those things were odd. I'd have to eventually open it to change the battery if it had worked. Well, since the scale didn't work anyway, I went ahead and opened it. That's when I discovered why they said not to open it as it's not the battery they listed being in there! The description says "1 long-life lithium battery included (CR2032)" which is why I selected this scale over others as I preferred something with a CR2032 battery. However, the scale uses AAA batteries.I called the company and got a recording asking me to select 1 for Tracking Information or 2 for Product Information. I didn't think this fit into either of those but no other options were given.I then contacted Amazon and they quickly refunded the order. Didn't even ask me to return it.At least I got me some AAA batteries out of the hassle, but that's overshadowed by my wasteful contribution the landfill.I will assume I just got a bad one. If you don't care about the battery type being wrong, which wouldn't be a concern for most people, this product probably is ok. But I wouldn't know since I never got it to work.

I chose this WW26 scale because (1) I wanted a basic scale that read only weight and had no other functions or tech connection capability; (2) Consumer Reports rated it very highly in 2021 and noted its great accuracy.It's wonderful. Just give it a light tap in the middle with your foot and it comes to life. Reads weight quickly and the display is easy to read (black digital numbers on a cool blue background.)I read through reviews and chuckled at the complaints people made. Such as: "I don't like the weight it displays." Or: "the weight it displays is inconsistent." lol. That's nothing to do with the scale. It has to do with when during the day you weigh yourself, how heavy you are, and whether you have replaced the scale on a suitably rigid, completely level surface to enable an accurate reading.Read the simple directions included with the scale and it will be a breeze to use. Ensure it's on a level surface (test it by ensuring it doesn't wobble at all) and, preferably, use it on the most rigid floor you have available. Mine is in the bathroom on ceramic tile. Even there, I had to test several locations to find one where none of the four feet were even slightly out of balance.Weigh yourself infrequently and, when you do, ensure you do so at the same time of day. (I use mine a couple times a week first thing in the morning after arising.)I'm very pleased with it. Zero complaints. Would buy it again in a hot minute.

I returned this scale and the identical one before it. They are not dependable or accurate. Bought a homebuds one that is perfect. This is the third ww scale I bought with unsatisfactory results.

This is the second WW scale I have purchased. The other one died on me but it was 6 years old so it did good. So far, so good. It seems to be accurate, looks very nice as well.
