Very thoughtful approach to teaching kids anatomy principles
This book has been put together with a lot of thought on how curious kids understand and learn anatomy best. Most kids are curious about their own bodies and how they function. My 6 year old started asking questions from my anatomy books, so I decided to buy her a copy of this one.I wouldn't say she grasps all the concepts fully but enough to quench her curiosity. I think she will continue learning from this book as her understanding expands over the next 3-4 years.A great feature in the book is how the images are arranged in a series with translucent plastic overlay sheets building the picture, corresponding to the notations at the top. For example, what happens to an apple at various stages of digestion, including in the mouth, stomach, small intestines and so on. This feature alone makes it a great learning tool. I would highly recommend it to all parents who would like to impart a good foundation of human anatomy to their children.

Just Perfect!
The media could not be loaded. This little book is absolutely perfect for teaching kids about their bodies. I bought this for my almost 4 year old to help answer questions around how the body works and differences between boys and girls.

Excellent introduction to the body
Our son starts secondary school soon so we got this for him as an introduction to the body and it's, as expected from a DK book, excellent. It's actually something I would read as well. Some of the information will be useful to him at school and some of it is pretty advanced. We've also got him the books on technology and the brain; these are equally as good. Certainly not just for kids.
