I’m gonna be honest, I did not expect this sketchy stool from an unknown company to hold up to my weight, but it totally did. I bought this to use as a stool for my telescope activities, and it held up to 2 hours of stress testing with no problems. I’d advise to be careful where you place it however, as wet soil is very easy to sink through and might catch you off guard. (not really the fault of this) As another review mentioned, I would definitely trust this to hold up to 200lbs.Honestly, I wouldn’t change anything about this product, although I have some complaints about things not directly related to it. For example, there was absolutely no info on how to even set up the thing, so that took some trial and error. The fabric also had to be stretched quite a lot before the posts could fit into place, which had me worried that I was going to rip them. Unrelated to the product itself, the shipping took about 3 weeks, although I suppose you expect this from random companies on amazon. I’d love to see this particular product become more successful though, it seems really well maybe, a lot better than the plastic stools I saw for the same price.

I bought the same item from another vendor on Amazon, but it's identical - made in China. I'm a retired 175 lb engineer, so ignore the 150 lb limit, I'd trust it to 200 lb. It is well made out of pretty heavy aluminum, nylon for the seat and well designed. Very handy to use. It goes from chair height to standing for a 6 footer. One star off because the 1st use is a bitch getting the seat on the 3 small bungee cord poles. Really tight, leave it in the sun to relax and put the 2 short poles in the seat first. Also the carrying case is sewn to the back edge of the seat which makes it a pain. I just cut it loose and stuff that in a bag or pocket when not using.
