Great clip-on lamp! Ordered it for my disabled brother to replace his dangerously-damaged one, which he had clipped to his bed headboard...The clip of the old one was made of plastic, and it had broken because the lamp head was heavy that the bendable neck had broken and the wires were exposed...so the hot incandescent bulb was resting on his pillow! Plus he left it turned on for many hours at a time – even when he left the house...very scary!Well, THIS new W-LITE 6W LED USB Clip-On Reading Lamp is so much lighter, with a nice cool bulb and a sturdy metal clip with anti-scratch rubber pads. The strong-yet-flexible neck only bends when you want it to! It otherwise stands up straight above the headboard rather than limply flopping over with a broken neck under the weight of the head. Love the choice of warm or cool light, and the fact that it can either be plugged into either a USB port (for a laptop computer) or a wall outlet. Very reasonably priced. Visually, the design is much more "fashionable" and sleek. Most importantly, with this new lamp, I don't have to worry about it burning down the house! THANK YOU!

This light clips firmly to my headboard and produces ample light to read myearlier version of Kindle which I've owned for years.

Bought this for my hobby workbench but after using it realized it has more possible uses.First, as others have pointed out, it's not dimmable. The inline rocker switch has a warm incandescent like setting and cool white light very close to true color.Come with a AC to USB adapter labeled for 110/240V, 50-60Hz 0.15A input. Output DCV 5V/10.5V, 1000Ma/100mA. Have not yet used this adapter as it's been running on USB powerbanks and laptop port.Note that it doesn't have a battery.The clamp has a very powerful and solidly built clip, pretty rare in this price range. Jaws are 3" x 1" with foam pads. Very solid and stable purchase. This lamp will not be sliding around. The goose neck, very firmly attached to the clamp, holds position very nicely. Extended straight out from the clamp, the center of the light is about 14" away. With the ring light head 15" above the work surface it provides very good bright light for reading and for working with small parts, even for my bifocal 70 year old eyes. Bright light spread at the 15" height has a 20" diameter but at 30" still provide better than average light for reading purposes. The inline power rocker switch is about 18" from the clamp.The ring light configuration can be ideal for photographing items for e-bay.Because USB powerbanks can be used it is very portable providing light where one needs it. As a work light for under cabinet plumbing work or any tight unlit space. I can see using it in the truck for map lighting and for camping. With the recent hurricane it has obvious use for emergency lighting, would last a very long time with a 20,000 mAh battery bank, rechargeable from auto 12 V accesory outlet.Will try using it on the patio table umbrella post...once it stops raining. ;>)All in all a terrific bang for the buck bargain. At that price point get several, you won't regret it if you have a need for this type of light. In my opinion it is far superior to most $20 plus battery powered cabinet/closet lights. Even a small 5000mAh power pack can last a long time with intermittent use.

Just received this cute little late. Clipped it onto my computer desk and it works beautifully! Does not take up very much space at all and there are two different light settings. Really has solved my space problem as did not have any space for a desk lamp.

The lamp is light weight and easy to use anywhere needed.

Haven’t decided to keep it yet, but here are the pros and cons.Pros:The light is quite bright.The clamp has a lot of spring force.Seems to be of sound quality.It came with an adapter for the outlet.Cons:The arm doesn’t hold the direction of the light well but rather wants to recoil. Certainly not ideal.The controls are approximately 14 inches from the actual light, so if you use it on a headboard it falls behind the board and you have to fish for it. That’s really inconvenient.The arm doesn’t come out of the top but rather the face of the clamp. This causes it to protrude more than is reasonable into the bed space given the weakness of the arm. A workaround is to install it backwards on the headboard, but over time it may rub away the drywall where it contacts. Installing backwards repositions the pads such that they don’t seat flush. If you have a nice headboard this could also wear it.Better for a desk than a headboard.
