8Bitdo Smartphone Clip for SN30 & SF30 Pro - Android

Does the job it was made to do. Was remarkably easy to attach, which was surprising to me, because I had watched a review of 8-Bitdos controllers in which the clip was also reviewed and they had complained about it being tremendously difficult to attach. It took me less than 10 seconds. Taking it off was a bit trickier, but still clocked under 10 secondsI'm using this with a Samsung Note 8, and it fits into the clip easily, about a millimeter off center, because of the bixby button. (how I loathe that button) The phone has some weight to it, so the balance is a bit awkward. I think that playing with the clip for many hours at a time will probably cause hand cramps from supporting it with my middle fingers, but I'm planning on using it for casual play.I find myself wondering if the clip could be designed with a counterweight to fix the balance.

It clips into an SN30 Pro 8bitdo controller perfectly. The only downside is that the weight of your phone in the clip will pull on ya a bit, but you will adjust to it quickly. Hold that weight for long periods of time will cause some cramping or aches, but that will happen with holding anything to long, especially a pad controller with no ergonomic design on it. It is also difficult to remove if you've clipped your nails real short, but not impossible. It's a good product for portable gaming on your phone for whatever methods you are using on it. Would recommend.

This thing is a useful way to add a mobile device to the top of the controller. The holder itself is very stable but when you place the controller with the mobile device on a surface, it will fall over from the weight of the mobile device. I kinda wish this thing just came with the controller but I guess its nice enough to stand alone as an individual product. Would be a lot better if it matched the color of my controller.

While it is sturdy and will hold your phone while playing, the design reeks of first design issues. The clip blocks the controller's USB-C port, it is hard to take off the controller and disassemble, it loves to press the phone's side buttons if you don't take care about it. They should make the newer design (the one that comes with the new SN30 Pro Xbox edition) available for purchase separately, as I've heard that one is superior to this.

This is a great phone clip. If you want one for your 8bitdo sn30 Pro this is great. It works great with the Sony Xperia xa2 Ultra with a case on it. Keep in mind that with a phone as big as the Sony Xperia xa2 Ultra with a case may be too heavy for some people.

As others have pointed out, it can be a little difficult to get off so that you can charge the controller, but with a little practice, it can become easy. The weight distribution is a bit off, so that when you have the phone in, it throws the balance off. I attached some small, smooth, metal pieces to the part that clamps to the controller to balance it out a little more so that it does not cause undo stress to the hands. Not perfect, but better.Still a great product, and I look forward to more 8BitDo toys.

I give it three stars, because it's okay. It gets the job done. And for ten bucks, you get what you pay for.Let me be more specific.The weight of my phone (Galaxy Note 9) vs the weight of the 8bitdo SN30 Pro is absolutely noticeable. You're gonna work your wrists a lil' bit to leverage the screen angle.I really like the springiness in the part that clamps on the phone. I fully expected to break it by now. I have not. It's not super powerful. Easy to get to on my phone and easy to take off. Too easy to come off. Did I mention the weight of my phone? It falls out unless I'm sitting upright.The part that attaches to the game pad covers the charge port. Not a deal breaker, but that's a thing.Overall, I'm glad this thing is an option. Is it perfect? No even close. But the price is right. Would be cool if 8bitdo released a premium version, one a little sturdier, with a stronger clamp, and a hinge that redistributes center mass.

Works great and fits perfectly. This is made for the SN30 and SF30 controller (the ones with the analog sticks) and not for the SFC30 and SNES30. Although it will fit, it 's not a perfect fit. This paired with the controller and a PIXEL 2 makes it the perfect portable gaming device.
