How to use: They do not absorb the soap nor water. So put some soap into a container and fill it out with hot water. And then wash the dishes from there with the silicone dishwashing scrubber. These sponges work okay for dishes. I have the same purple sponge on the sink and other than a couple of bristles missing from washing a kitchen knife wrong, it's in new condition. They aren't great for heavy scrubbing, but easy cleans, this is my choice of tool. We also have a silicone bottle brush for bottles and jars because the material is good to work with and doesn't get moldy or gross.Since there are so many sponges in this pack and we haven't replaced the one on the kitchen sick, I've found additional uses for some of the other sponges.Bath sponge - Use for personal care and cleaning.Baby hair washer - It takes a little bit longer to get the soap out of her hair, but it works like a cat's tongue wet/rinse the sponge then rub it over baby's head to rinse out the shampoo. Repeat a lot. Baby doesn't cry about soap in her eyes.Teething toy - A bright green sponge serves as a teether. Great texture to chew on and it's gentle on baby's gums.Soap dish - Rest a bar of soap on one of these sponges. Air circulates freely around the soap so it can dry and it also has circulation under the sponge so no mold growth under the "dish" either.Jar opener - Can't open that jar of olives?
