This windchime is really solid and works great. I can hear it inside my house even when there's not much wind. It makes a really nice, clear sound, just like it says in the description. I can't wait to get the other two notes.

The first one arrived damaged and the manufacturer graciously replaced it.09/23/2023 UPDATE: Today I was watching the wind sail being tossed violently in various directions and the physics of the matter suddenly struck me.I wondered what if the chain going from the knocker to the wind sale is too long? On windy days the sale gets tossed so violently that it is often parallel with the ground, which causes the chain to clank against the bell. I decided to shorten the sail chain which in theory would reduce the degree of angle of the chain when the wind blows violently. After some trial and error I landed upon four inches of chain being removed.The wind bell now resonates with a deep rich tone most of the time. There are still times when the wind whips up to 20+ mph and the bell goes crazy and it does not sound good at all. It just clangs, clunks, and generally beats its self up.Because of my new experience with this wind bell I have changed my rating from three stars to four stars! I also attached a short video with the shortened sail chain showing the improved sound quality. Given this new information please disregard most of my previous review comments written bellow.I had such high hopes for this wind bell and was expecting to hear a rich deep bass sound but unfortunately much of the time all I hear is the sound of the chain hitting the bottom edge of the bell or the bells knocker clunking back and forth in the bell quickly and it reminds me of a cow bell being shook. There is rarely a deep resonating bass sound?! On some occasions when the wind is blowing just right I will hear the bell resonate. I can not help but wonder if I received a dud?I live in Northwest Ohio on the outskirts of a farm town. It is all flat land and it can get seriously windy some days and on other days we have a gentle breeze and the wind sail just flops around and the bell makes no sound.I have on several occasions had the pleasure of hearing traditional Indian copper cow bells. That is the very rich deep tones that I was expecting to hear from this bell. I know it is supposed to sound amazing because I have heard it in the videos submitted by others.The appearance of this wind bell is very impressive, it looks beautiful and it is quite heavy. The bell itself appears to be well made and the included hanger chain is heavy duty. After watching it in the yard for several days I have come to the conclusion that the wind sail does not fit the look of the wind bell. The sail seems like a cheap throw in or a low dollar add on. I understand that the sail is supposed to be low weight so it can move easily, but I believe a thin piece of copper or antiqued brass would better compliment the bell.I really want to say that this wind bell is a good value for the money, but my experience so far is leading me away from recommending this wind bell. I remain open and willing to change my opinion if I can see, or hear to be more accurate, this wind bell work properly.

I ordered this for my yard and it has very deep tone. It really sounds good. It was well packed in box. It was a great value for the windchime. I recommend this product. I will order couple more for gifts.

This wind gong (more gong than chime) is heavy duty, came 100% assembled and has an incredible harbor/ship sound. Only problem is the clapper is so heavy the wind doesn’t move it. We just had Hurricane Idalia and it never gonged. Now I need another wind catcher. I’d still buy again, it’s the sound I’ve been wanting, a ship’s bell.

This wind chime has a relaxing sound.I would recommend this product.

Not too deep in resonance, but not high tinny chime either.
