The ball and stand were packed in a cardboard presentation box inside a jiffy bag. One end of the box had detached, presumably due to the overall weight. So it wouldn't have been good as a gift. But the crystal ball and stand were fine and it is beautiful.

What a bargain! An excellent (and weighty) ball ideal for photographic projects and, I dare say, scrying, if you're that way inclined. As others have mentioned, the box is a little shabby but I didn't buy it for the box. The ball is perfectly clear, no bubbles or imperfections and it comes with a wooden stand. I would have expected something like this to cost way more so I'm very pleased with my purchase.
