High Velocity Indeed...Great Power.
So...it's loud. But A.) I'm been around high-velocity, industrial-quality fans, so I expected that. B.) I was looking for a sturdy, daily-use fan because I sleep with a fan on for the noise (predominantly).I only gave it a 3 because I'm assuming it wants an overall rating of noise level. So if you're looking for a quiet fan, you'll need to look to a $40 Walmart fan for that. But this is what I would expect, and I'm not upset with the noise level at all.And the sturdiness is exactly what I would expect with a high-velocity $80 fan. The pedestal is sturdy on a carpeted floor, and does not waver at all. I only have a slight complaint...I nearly lost one of the bolts for the fan in shipping. It fell out, and was in the bag the part was shipped in (not a parts bag). Luckily I didn't pitch that bag or sling it around as I was unpacking it, so I was able to find it right in the bag. So I'd just urge caution when opening the fan, to be sure any parts don't fall out.I like it...I like the knob design, as opposed to 3 different buttons. Remember, this is not oscillating, so fan blows in just one direction. But it is easy to adjust up and down. Would buy again.

Works perfectly
Easy to assemble, but a bit heavy to carry and not exactly quiet but not too loud either.. Puts out a great breeze and love the ability to add cool water mist. Purchased for an outdoor wedding in August.

It moves a lot of air!!!
I'm a registered nurse working night shift and sleep during the day. I have to have a fan when I sleep, even during winter months. This fan is perfect for me for its high velocity output. High velocity air movement does make a lot of noise, but as a day sleeper it is wonderful. It drowns out ALL other noise! It did take a couple of nights to get used to the higher pitched sound. It sounds, as my wife describes, like a huge swarm of bees!It has a very sturdy commercial/industrial grade construction. There is only metal, no cheap plastic is used. The base is large enough to keep it securely upright even if it gets bumped, it can't be accidentally be knocked over.

Good quality.
Easy to assemble, has bigger 3 H.P. motor. 3 speeds that move a lot of air. Not to loud and keeps our patio cool even in the hot weather. You won't be disappointed.

Loud but does a great job
I use this fan to cool my garage during the summer. It is a little loud but really moves the air around.

Noisy even on low speed
Customer support is horrendous, we have Hard water in our City so I have been writing directly to HICFM on their own site, over and over emails sent to no avail. I have even wrote to Mr B&B which is on their site. : It states Contact MR B&B Here, which I have over and over still no response. I do get an immediate " Thank you for your email we get right back to you IMMEDIATELY ! It's been over a week and 6 email's to the " Contact Me Here" link. I am requesting to purchase spare mister jets /nozzle for their 30 inch mister fan, I have informed them I would Pay for them of course, at least email me the size of the thread and orifice size so I can get it elsewhere even on this site Amazon. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO GET A RESPONSE BACK WHY IS IT THAT NO ONE CHECKS THE EMAIL SITE FOR MESSAGES AND RESPOND? I STILL WANT A RESPONSE! I COULD OF FLOWN TO CHINA AND PICKED THEM BY NOW! Still no response June 23rd !!! Why can't this company respond back? I WILL CONTINUE UPDATING TILL I GET A RESPONSE BACK .

Good luck with assembly
This is the top half of the pole that mounts the fan. The engineer who designed this should be fired. I wonder if they ever try to assemble their manufactured designThey expect you to feed that short tiny screw through the lower pole and align the hole through that rubber vibration gasket to the upper pole. I’ve been trying for an hour and can’t get that tiny screw to align.First, the rubber gasket flexes when inserted into the lower pole thus misaligning the screw to the metal hole of the lower pole.Second, the screw is so short it can’t overcome the misalignment and bite into the threaded hole. Even if it did, there would be about one turn of connection to the lower hole. Not strong enough to lean the fan over on its wheels.I’m either going to have to find a longer screw or drill this all the way through and buy a 3” bolt/nut/lock screw to connect all the way through the pole to the other side.Absolutely nightmare of a design.Hopefully the fan is worth all this hassle. I will update later.
