I like to grow stuff and watering and sunlight requirement are what I frequently have to deal with. I bought this for both the humidity and luminosity monitoring, and both works pretty well.The humidity monitor was pretty spot on. I checked the reading before and after a light rain and it was accurate. I will be getting more of the soil sensors for different spots in my garden, since deep-rooted trees (citrus) should be water less often then shallow-rooted plants (tomatoes, guava) even when the soil moisture is the same.The luminosity monitor seems to work fine also. I use it to figure out how much sunlight certain spots are getting throughout the day in order to plant appropriate things there. Herbs don't do well with the harsh afternoon sun, for example. The graph in the app does a good job of showing you this data.

This unit has failed in less than 90 days of usage. Can you send me another one or give me my money back?

Cool product. Really easy to set up and link. Didn’t like that when you customize your dry settings you can only set it to 0-40%. If I were let’s say, able to set it to a specific number that the sensor can obviously read and give me a warning that would be great. I hope the company sees this. And makes an update or something.

I had an extremely hard time getting the hub connected to to my wifi. I went through the setup process multiple times and finally had to go through the manually method. However, the device connected to the hub relatively easily.I had been having a bit of issues with getting my water schedule right, which lead to some stressed plants. Within a couple weeks of using this, I was able to review the moisture levels, dial in the schedule for my drip system and watch my plants start thriving. You can export to a csv and review the historical data, which is also helpful.

So far it is the best sensor I have found; I bought others in other stores and I returned them all because they did not exceed my expectations; so far I am doing very well with this product.Advantages:-Quick installation.-Access to data from the internet.Possibility of adding other devices to work according to the metrics recorded by this product. (In my case I have it paired with a Hilary pump).-You can add multiple sensors (128)Disadvantages:-The sensor is a little big. (But as long as it's functional, it's worth it).-The sensor is a little expensive if you want to buy more than one.Personally, I recommend this product if you want to maintain strict control over your plants; because you maintain control of the temperature, humidity and intensity of the light they receive.

Using this to monitor plants for watering. The soil moisture content is reported as "humidity." When it gets below 30 percent, its generally time to water. Connects easily to gateway and app is straight forward. Get the WATERPROOF version because when you water your plants, its easy to drip on the sensor, the regular version can be damaged if the case gets wet (sensor blade is obviously okay wet, but not the housing of the regular version).

Opened the box, plugged in. Dead on arrival! I ordered a replacement. It took two orders to get one set that worked. And after a few months it has quit. In would not recommend.

I ordered one of these which I have placed in my garden bed to pair with my water timer so I can automate my watering based on the soil readings. Initially there seemed to be issues with the readings but a quick chat with the support team fixed that, I had the sensors improperly placed(buried into the ground with the plastic) but supposedly only the metal stake should have. It's a pretty functional piece with some useful features, everything works great now. Highly recommended
