ASICS Men's Gel-Contend 8 Running Shoes

A well made and affordable shoe. These are my 3rd pair and they have all held up well and are comfortable. I like that they aren't the new type of all plastic molded shoe but are quality fabric and stitching.They typically fits normal to slightly narrow feet.

True to size but a little narrow. Very comfortable and well built shoe.

These are fantastic. They are super comfortable and seem to be well made. Quickly became my favorite pair of sneakers. They look great too!

These are a nice, breathable workout sneaker for the price. They do, however, have a rather firm midsole. So unless you have never had any issues with knee pain, it's probably best to avoid these for high volume running on pavement or harder surfaces (treadmills seems to be Ok). I've struggled with some joint pain (esp. knees) that re-surfaced while I was wearing these and got much over 20 miles a week running on pavement. Going to a more cushioned model helped resolve this knee pain. But if you have a lower BMI, good running form, and no history of joint pain, these might be great for you.On the positive, these were very comfortable out of the box, fit my average width feet well, and offered good support. I wear between a size 10 1/2 and a size 11 (men's) most of the time, and the 10 1/2s fit my foot well. I'm not really thrilled with the insoles on these; they are a fairly cheap looking foam and, although not initially glued in, get stuck to midsole over time and tend to tear when you try to remove them for drying, etc.Although very breathable, the uppers are a little flimsy and developed some holes pretty quickly. I got a bit over 200 miles out of these before the outsoles started wearing through in the toe area. I don't have the best running gait and tend to supinate a bit, so your mileage may vary.If you want a nice pair of good value sneakers for walking, working out at the gym, and/or running off pavement, these should be comfy, very breathable, and supportive for most folks. If, however, you have a history of knee pain and/or plan to run a lot on pavement, it's probably best to find something with a softer midsole and/or more overall cushion. Also, you can probably find a more durable outsole in more mid to high end models.

Lightweight and comfortable. Love that they have a wide option. Unfortunately the material is delicate and easy to tear. One snag will rip right through, so be careful

Got these to replace some old running shoes and found them quite comfortable. We're inexpensive and after a few months of running in them have been holding up very well. As an added bonus they don't get dirty easily so seems like the fabric is holding up very well. Would definitely consider getting another when the time comes.

I always try shoes on at a shoe store chain where they leave you alone. Even though I wear a common size, it can be difficult to find the right fit. When I put these Asics Gel-Contend 8's on, my first thought was wow, these are heaven on my feet! If that store beats Amazon's price, I buy it there; and if Amazon beats that store, I buy from Amazon. Amazon was significantly less expensive, so no brainer. My fave color is the Indigo Blue/Island Blue. They look really cool. Even though these shoes are running shoes, I use them (along with a few other brands) as an everyday shoe including walking and hiking, and they are superb for all uses. I'll never know why people buy shoes online without first trying them on!

I found these sneakers to be very comfortable ( they do run a bit small, suggest you order a 1/2 size larger than normal). I have washed them twice in the laundry and they have held up great.

i have a pair of asics trainers that i love. super comfy, but are tight and get your feet sore after a while (they are trainers, not casual wear) and i wanted a pair of shows, that were light, and as comfy in their support as the trainers. these are them. great shoes. great bargain!
