Makes a trash apartment look swanky
My apartment looks so chique with these easy to install tiles. I watched many comedy specials installing them though so it takes time. Beware some of the lines get a bit off when you look super close but who is gonna notice but you? Wear gloves cos the back is sticky.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
Honestly I would rate zero stars if that was an option.I decided to do a refresh on my kitchen, since it's a rental apartment real renovations are not an option. So I installed under-cabinet lighting, peel and stick backsplash tiles, contact paper for the cupboard doors, and these peel and stick floor tiles. Everything turned out great except, unfortunately, these tiles. And it's a real shame because I actually really like how they look at first once installed - the black and white checkered pattern is perfect. But there are severe issues with the quality and performance that basically make these tiles unusable:1. The package has a cut-out showing the product, but without any plastic covering the cut-out, the top tile in each package was ruined with permanent scuff marks where it was exposed during storage/shipping.2. Several tiles had misprints or cutting errors effecting the checkerboard, making the tiles unusable.3. Of the remaining tiles with no noticeable misprints, some of them just don't line up with the checkerboard pattern of the next tile, making them also unusable.4. And now to the worst part of the performance of this product. Of the tiles I was able to use, the next problem (which affected them all) was the glue. There are 2 major problems with the glue which actually seem to be connected:- First, during storage and/or shipping, some glue from around the edge of each tile seems to have squeezed out from the no-stick backing paper and onto the front of the tile. So after installing the tiles, there is a sticky strip around the edge of most of the tiles which is impossible to fully remove and quickly starts collecting dust, lint, etc turning the sticky strip dark. I can actually feel my sock feet sticking to the glue bits when I walk on the floor.- Second, and the worst of all the problems with this product, because this strip of glue has squeezed out from the bottom of the tile to the top of the tile, it results in not enough glue around the edge of each tile on the bottom! So, starting as soon as the next day after finishing the installation, the edges and corners of most of the tiles have started lifting and curling up, and it's very noticeable, both visually and catching on the bottom of my sock feet. And it's getting worse each day.I was very careful to read and follow the instructions and was very methodical and careful with installing the tiles. So it's a huge disappointment to see how they are performing so poorly, almost immediately after installing them. I wish I had never installed them at all.

Perfect!
I cannot say specifically how well these tiles adhere on their own as we did use separate adhesive to ensure they would stay in place, especially since we put tiles up on the walls. We bought the adhesive before the tile as we didn’t know what to expect. The adhesive on the tile is actually extremely tacky.Just from removing the backing, we had to use “goo-gone” to get it off of our hands and tools. If just for the floor, I don’t think you’d need an additional adhesive. *the white tiles are much stickier than the black and checkered. Not sure why, but the backing did not come off in one smooth sheet. It partially came off then ripped and stuck to the tiles. Not difficult to remove, just a bit annoying as we did have many tiles to place. Not a deal breaker. We used the large individual black tiles and white tiles for the floor. (5 boxes of each) They do have a nice sheen to them, but after mopping they appear a bit dull. We bought a floor cleaner with wax in it and it shines them right back up.For the walls, we used the checkered tiles. Easy to cut and align. Some of the tiles are a bit off as far as matching the squares to the next tile but not too noticeable. 1/8” at most. I do like that though as I wouldn’t expect perfection coming from a factory. If they were ceramic and hand placed individually, I’d be more picky. We originally bought 3 boxes but had to order 2 more which DID come the NEXT DAY! (The photo of the unfinished around the countertop is right after we finished before placing the order for the other 2 boxes.)Out of the 15 boxes, there were 4 tiles found to be defective. The vinyl on 2 white and 1 black were smeared/crumpled on part of the tiles as if they were too hot when moved from the machine that made them. Not a big deal, we had more than enough. One of the checkered tiles was cut short at an angle as well. 4 out of 300 tiles is nothing to complain about. Also: we have 3 kids, 14 cats, and a dog. It has been about a month and these tiles are holding up very well. Even with all of the animals, no scratches! As far as the kids go-spills wipe up easily as well.Much better quality than I was expecting and may keep for longer than planned as we would eventually like to epoxy the floor instead… but maybe not. I really like these tiles!***Our 12 year olds helped without a problem to give you an idea of how easy installation is.
