Cute and functional
This thing is a silly purchase but makes me smile every day and that's worth alot.Works as pictured. Keeps the tea tag from falling into the tea and easy to squeeze out the bag after steeping without burning your fingers, then stores the wet bag until you're done.

My Tea Was Missing This!
I had no idea how much I would love this! I saw it on a random list of items that helped make tea time more fun and I thought it looked cute, simple and a great way to not have to have extra cups or saucers or meddle with tea bags. I will admit it was so I could just enjoy my tea with one cup and now I can! I am going to use this as an easy birthday or holiday gift for all my tea drinking friends! Plus it's sustainable, adorable and easy to pop off the cup and set aside if you want that too. I love my plucky little pelican!

Tea bag caddy, squeezer, string holder all in one
Obviously this item is a little pricey for what it is. However, it is functional and when you compare it to similar items, it's really not that bad.You can sit it on the side of your mug and wrap the string around the beak so it doesn't fall in. When your tea is done steeping, you can put the bag in the back and squeeze to get all that tea goodness out. Then you can set it aside to hold the discarded tea bag until you're ready to throw it out.Is it a little pricey? Maybe, though when you compare it to other items that perform similar functions, it's not much more. And it's a heck of a lot cuter. If you're a big fan of tea or know someone who is, it's worth it.I give it 4.5 stars, and that only because of the price. For looks and function, it's a solid 5.

Cute holder
I love anything to do with the ocean and beaches and sea life and have my home decorated as such, so I had to get the pelican tea holder to try when it ran across Vine. This is the cutest holder. I read the description too fast when I first saw it and was expecting something ceramic for some reason instead of silicone, but it makes sense it would need to be lighter and more flexible to be on a tea cup. I have not run into a cup yet that it does not work with. It is smaller than I was expecting. You will not be able to cram a thick and large cookie on the back of it. Think more of a small cookie. The beak will hold a string, if your tea bag has one, and you can chunk the wet bag in the back if you are away from a trash can when you take it out. This is a nice item to give as a gift. I think the price may be a tad high considering it is just a small silicone item, so that is something that might keep me from getting it again.

Adorable
This is the perfect tea bag holder. Super cute but also durable. Can be used as a gift but I bought it for myself. Does the trick and the price is on point.

What is a Pelicup, and do you need one?
A Pelicup is a cute pelican that sits on the edge of a cup, or teapot, for two purposes: to secure teabags in its beak so that the strings do not fall into the liquid while the tea seeps. This function works. — The second function is to hold the used teabags on its back. It can do this but not without making a wee bit of a mess most of the time. The Pelicup is adorable with a keen likeness to the real deal. Size is perfect. It looks like it belongs when it is attached to a teacup or teapot. It isn’t the most useful kitchen gadget, but particularly on a teapot, it is one of the most if not the cutest gadget for a kitchen, and for that reason everyone should have a Pelicup in their home. This item had fast shipping. It was packaged in branded card stock, the Pelicup shielded by clear plastic, ready to hang in a store. It would make an excellent gift for the tea lover, a teacher, just about anyone. The price is steep. With that being considered, I would buy this for a gift but limit it to those who can truly appreciate it and for whom afternoon tea is a ritual.Hope this helps?
