I've had it sitting outside for a couple of weeks, and I like the way it looks. In addition to the central string, I tied to shoelaces to the roofs of the smallest houses and attached them to the branch above with screws, for stability in wind.Unfortunately no birds have nested in it, but I'm hoping at some point they will. Might have to wait until next spring.Maybe the bird feeder next to it, which has squirrels eating from it most of the time, is scaring birds away.After I did some research, I found that the Cardinals don't normally nest in cavities/bird houses, they prefer bushes, which is the bird that I was hoping for, but I'll take other birds as well. The holes are relatively small, so this is for small birds, not for medium or large birds.

I had to add some wood dough to some of the joints. To much separation between some of the joints, allowing rain to enter & then freeze over in the winter creating a larger space between the joints. I also gave the birdhouse three coats of outside varnish. Looks great!

Excellent good work look perfect in my backyard. It really worth the price. Bought it few months ago still look good even with the wind. Was easy to put in the tree

Coming apart after one year and openings are small for some birds. Maybe good for finch

This is one of the cutest bird houses I’ve ever seen. Appears well constructed. Pine is susceptible to staining and rot so I sprayed it with a sealant. I also drilled a hole in each of the 2 compartments in the front to allow for drainage. I would suggest to the manufacturer to eliminate the rope for hanging the bird nest. A bird nest should not be swinging in the wind. I removed the rope and filled holes with wood filler, stained, and sealed. I also got rid of the picture frame hanger on the back. Built a shelf, stained and sealed, and screwed it to a tree and the bird house. I ran DC electricity to the bird house and installed lamps, nest warmers, and built a small 2 bird jacuzzi and tiki bar on the deck that I attached to the front. IJK. This is a great product.Update 7/24: dropped to 1 star. the front has fallen off 3 times. I’ve tried glue and nails and still falls off. The wood is just too soft. This is not practical. No birds have nested in it in 2 seasons.
