Roller blades where a birthday gift and were a hit.
Roller blades are perfect for a 5 year old learning to skate and they're adjustable as his foot gets bigger!

Mi hija los ama!
Lindos y de buena calidad, aunque el freno se le gastó rapidísimo y ya le tuvimos que adaptar un freno nuevo. Esa es la única razón por la que no le damos 5 estrellas.

Perfect for Beginners!
My 6 year old daughter got the purple rollerblades for Christmas. She’s timid so I assumed it would take a while to get her comfortable in them. I walked beside her for about 10 minutes and then she felt comfortable going on her own. We let her wear them inside and they haven’t scratched our floors. The rollerblades have adjustable feet size so they can grow with her and adjustable hardware to allow for more resistance which helped make my daughter more comfortable on them. I highly recommend these to any beginner. The light up wheels are the icing on the cake!

Good beginner roller blades
The media could not be loaded. I think that these are good beginner's roller blades. Notable points:- The wheels don't spin as well as my roller blades. This is fine for someone starting out, and it might even help so that kids don't fall as easily. I plan to get my kids some better roller blades once they get really proficient at using these though.- There is a wheel lock that prevents the back 2 wheels from turning in case that is useful to you when helping your kid learn. I personally don't think I will use that feature, but it is interesting to have.- The closure is different from my adult roller blades, which I believe have the typical adult roller blade closure. Instead of the 'clicky' piece coming completely out and then you push it in each time, that piece does not come out, but rather only used for making adjustments to size. The other side, which I am used to not detaching, detaches. It is a little annoying to me to have to attach and close that, however, it does help the size to remain the same which is probably actually a good thing for kids.- There is a neat size adjuster that moves the front of the roller blade forward to make it bigger. That's a pretty nice feature that I haven't seen before.- My kid says they are comfortable. They are a bit too big on her, but I purposefully got a larger size so she wouldn't outgrow them right away. Even being too big, these blades are adjustable enough to fit snugly and work well enough. She is wearing a size 10T shoe and I got the small (11C-1Y) size, although the box and side of the blade say 36-39.-The light-up wheels are pretty sweet. I have helped my kid practice in the dark a bit so we could see them light up better, haha.

Good choice for rollerblades
I had to get a set for my daughter after my son got his. I really like these in particular for 2 reasons. First, these don't have any laces and simply use straps to keep them tight, which works fine and allows my daughter to get them on herself easily. Secondly, because the whole front of the skate lifts up to let you get your foot in easier which also allows you to see exactly where the toe is so if you need to adjust the skate bigger or smaller, you can do so and visually see exactly where the toe will be.This is huge for an adjustable skate because you no longer have to guess how tight or loose the skate is as you can see it.

Nice, light weight roller blades for kids!
My 7 year old is just learning how to rollerblade and it didn't help that I got the medium size blade which is about 1 inch bigger than his foot (his foot is 7.8 in.). But with a little padding and a thicker socks, it's almost a fit. I'm Just curious why they labeled the size as Medium-Big Kids(1Y-4Y)) and then down in the description, they state that the medium is really for the 10 years & up. But that's my bad for not reading the full description. The rollerblade is cute and stylish and seem to be quality made. They're also easy to put on and changing the size shouldn't be a problem (with included tool) but for now I don't think I have to worry about that. The lights on the wheels are also very bright & easy to see especially in the evening hours which also helps with its safety but then again I don't recommend using them in the streets or any place with high traffic (even when it's only pedestrians & bikers). I'm sure as he learns to rollerblade more easily, he will grow to love them. Anyway, for what it does & how much my kid loves it & not to mention its cost, I would recommend these but be sure to measure your kids feet to ensure you're buying the right size.
