I would buy these knives again and am very glad I bought them!
I purchased several Yaxell knives for Christmas. The knives were very sharp out of the box. I have really enjoyed using these knives to prepare every meal for my family. I had German knives for years and years, I think that the sharpening angle on these knives are easier keep sharp with steel and easier to sharpen with a stone.

Overrated! Don’t buy
I purchased this knife 9 months ago, and used it carefully and sparingly, because it is an expensive knife. One day when I was cutting a chicken breast, I heard a click — the knife hit the tip cartilage (soft bone) and it broke together with the chicken breast! That was not what I expected from such an expensive knife, or should I?

Worth Every Cent and More!
Worth every cent and more. Wow, what can I say, the knife is simple, elegant, and efficient. The balance of it is second to none and the design doesnt waste any energy at all. Even though the blade isnt light, the balance makes it feel like it is. I have not even used it at work yet and I can tell it is a gem. I needed a knife for chopping vegetables and to prolong the life of my Artisan Miyabi Rocking Santoku(also a gem). I can tell you the Yaxell Nakiri is certainly not inferior quality. Both knives are special, but for the price, the Yaxell is a steal. I chose this knife against other nakiris. As soon as I saw it I had a feeling, but when I held it I knew it was the best choice at its price range. I would have paid 50% more for this knife, its that good. Buy it!

The Perfect Kitchen Knife?
I'm not a professional chef and I have never used a $300 kitchen knife, but my Mac Mighty cost me just under $200 and this $100 Yaxell Nakiri has replaced it as my knife of choice for preparing vegetables and fruit. For my medium-large hand the handle and balance are perfect, and it is absolutely the sharpest blade I have ever used. It's a handsome knife without a lot of decorative flourishes and for $99 it's almost too good to be true.
