I love these! They are so new and different to me. I love how you can make different shapes out of the ends after you’ve finished your hair style. I have 2aFii 40"+ hair and use it to hold my hair up in buns (sorry, they are not in locs). It held really well for the whole day, was comfortable I didn’t have any problems…and it looked really neat! I love shaping the ends into different swirls and shapes! It's like a toy! I love the patterned ones better than the non-patterned ones. The little bags are just icing on the cake :)Here’s how to do the bun I liked using best with this:*Grab top half of hair and insert straightened hair tie under it so it’s centered.*Grab rest of the hair, combine with top half and make a ponytail. This is the best way I found to make it hold a bun :) You can ponytail your hair and twist tie it around to start your bun, but it's not as comfortable.* Twist ponytail tightly up and around one end.* Keep twisting and bring your hair up and over the opposite end of the hair tie. It should be a a figure eight.*Repeat until you’re running out hair. Wrap the ends around the base of the ponytail as tightly as possible.*twist the hair tire around the base of the pony tail to secure…or twist one around the base and curl the other one and put it on top of the bun.The sewing for the hair ties and the bags are very neat and tidy. They have a wire in them and it will hold its own shape, or your hair if you twist tie it or wrap it tightly around.These are so flexible that you can just invent all sort of shapes and ways to keep your hair up! I mean you can wear them as headbands, too! They're so cool! I’m going to try and find a pink one now!P.S. I didn't understand why this had a "stretch" rating. It's not an elastic hair tie. It's not the hair tie's fault so I gave it a five even though they don't stretch in the traditional sense. They "stretch" the bounds of your imagination! I

This is a set of 4 hair ties, each one comes in a small bag. The hair ties are designed for dreadlocks or very voluminous curly hair, but they do work for my thin long hair as well. The ties have a soft wire core inside that's very flexible and malleable. They wouldn't be strong enough for very heavy dreads, unless you wrap them in a criss-cross fashion and twist the tie ends together. If you just coil them they wouldn't hold, because they're too soft. They would look very pretty as a ponytail holder on curly long hair, on braids, on lightweight dreads. You do need to twist the ends together and hide them underneath, so then the ties would stay and have a better hold. The fabric feels like rough linen, the ties are soft and look exactly as pictured.

Hello friends, I selected this four piece spiral lock hair tie with four bags.My housemate with long, thin hair really loves these and will not give them back. They are so nice. She twills her hair around the rod then creates a bun so her hair looks fuller and she loves it. They're very easy to use and come out of the hair easy too. They come with their own bag that matches which is neat. I really like the colored ones. I highly recommend them for anyone who's not used to them. They're gentle on the hair. And provide a new way to style. Five stars.

You get 4 hair ties, and they all have their own matching pouch. The print spiral hair lock ties are colorful and textured nicely. The black and blue ones are a good quality fabric too. The wire inside is not very strong, but it good enough to hold my fine hair into a cute bun. I do not think they are long and strong enough to hold serious deadlocks, but for regular hair they work well to twist into a ponytail or bun. I think these hair ties are a great value for what you get. The little pouches are adorable and can be used for other things.

This has got to be a joke. This product does not hold hair. It definitely doesn’t hold thick locs! The wire inside is flimsy and won’t even stay in place when you fold it on itself right out of the package. It is basically a pipe cleaner.The color is pretty but the product is useless.
