ROM……. an amazing comic book
I read every issue of ROM Spaceknight as a boy. My mom unexpectedly bought me ROM Spaceknight (the toy) for Christmas one year so I decided to start reading the comic when it began. The series ran from 1979-1986. Every issue was written by Bill Mantlo with Sal Buscema the artist for the majority of the run.WOW….. what an incredible childhood memory. If you are looking for a fascinating story for your children as an introduction to comics you can do no better.ROM is my all time favorite comic.

Amazing!
This, for me, was a long time coming. I first discovered Rom when I was 8 years old, with the first annual of Rom, and wow... what a way to start! The first issue I picked up, from my local newsstand was issue 63, then I got a subscription, little that I knew at the time that the comic would end at issue 75. I loved Rom's adventures so much that I made it my life's mission to hunt down everything Rom, every issue, every annual, every side appearance, everything. It took me 30 years to find everything (mostly on purpose) because I knew this run wasn't very large, so I took my time. But now with the release of this omnibus I can enjoy this saga in one big gulp...well after all three are released that is! Rom is marvel's best sci-fi stuff of the 80's great story, great characters, I love it!

A Brightness That is SO Needed!
Over the years, I have enjoyed a lot of comics, but Rom: Space Knight is such a delight to see rereleased once again, this time in a collection. While I have not opened my book, I got the Kindke edition too that I can read while on the go or at the Firm where I work. Marvel has started going through some of the classic comics that need to be put in groovy bindings like this awesome book. Later this year, they will have released several more of my favorites: Shogun Warriors, Godzilla, and Micronauts. ‘Nuff said!

Takes me back to being 10yrs old.
Memories of childhood in the palms of my hands. Big fan of the series from the beginning and followed it to the series end. Rom fans know what I mean. Get one if you’re one of those fans.

ROMnibus
This is the old classic ROM comics that I grew up on. From about fourth grade to early high school, I was enthralled by these stories. The early issues collected in this tome have some of the best storylines of the whole run, with a definite 1950s sci-fi vibe to them. It’s highly recommended for fans of vintage Bronze Age science fiction comics with a few super heroes thrown in just to cement it to the Marvel Universe. My copy that I received however was damaged in printing. Some of the pages near the end were creased as if they had been folded. Amazon said they would send me a new copy in trade for the damaged one. You rock Amazon!

INCOMPLETE - Missing Several Issues Important ROM Marvel Content
Looks like it is missing MARVEL TWO-IN-ONE #99 with The Thing. After Marvel lost the rights to ROM, Marvel issued a redacted issue with the ROM content removed. It's pretty important because ROM uses his neutralizer to change Thing back to Ben for awhile. Also missing INCREDIBLE HULK V1 #296 where ROM battle The Hulk. And OFFICIAL HANDBOOK OF THE MARVEL UNIVERSE (DELUXE) #11 which has several pages for ROM. It also appears that all four ROM ANNUALS are missing from this collection. So in total this collection is missing SEVEN important issues. Far from complete. It's a shame to get an omnibus that you expect will contain everything only to find it is missing multiple issues.

Great book.
Fantastic collection. Issues 1-29. Beautifully presented with great narratives of its creation in the beginning of the book. The only drawback to any omnibus is the high price. I would recommend picking this up, but possibly when it is on sale.

Good value hardcover collection
I used to own the entire series of Rom but sold them to free up some space. Now I've bought the first omnibus in hardcover, containing about 35 issues' worth of stories, including the covers and letter columns but skipping the ads. It saves some space and is a convenient size for holding as you read. The price is a lot less than buying the original issues would be, and it's higher quality paper too. Looks great. I'll probably end up buying the other two volumes as well.

MY GOD IT'S ABOUT TIME!
Marvel losing the right to publish anything about this character was one of the great tragedies in comics. I was 13 when ROM started his quest to cleanse Earth of the Dire Wraiths and then when the series was cancelled in 1986, I was devastated. This omnibus contains the first 30 issues and you couldn't ask for a more compelling story. A peaceful man gives up his humanity and becomes a cyborg warrior to protect his planet from the ultimate evil. Then he embarks on a 200 year crusade to chase them across the universe, ending up on Earth to face the Wraith infiltration. I mean Wow!I was hooked right from the first issue and collected the entire original run, re-reading them every few years. But now that this is available, I can read them without worrying about damaging the original comics. The reproduction is well made and the vibrant colour the doesn't appear on the original 46 years old paper. If you interested in excellent Science Fiction you will not go wrong reading this. I am convinced that if Marvel was able to continue the original run that he would have become an "A" list character for Marvel just like Captain America or Spider-Man. The saga of ROM: Spaceknight is one heck of a ride!
