Looks beautiful in my dining room!
I wanted a more dining room look to my dining room light but I knew I was going to miss the fan. The fan comes in handy when playing cards, doing puzzles, etc. as the room can get hot with the light on. I LOVE the fact the fan blades retract to the top of the light giving the light a more typical dining room light look. On top of that, the fixture is so pretty. I like the looks of a chandelier but really dislike the upkeep of cleaning crystals. This is a mix of the crystal look without the cleaning challenge. The different levels of lighting and of the colors of the light with a 6 speed fan makes this a perfect addition to my dining room. I have had LOTS of compliments on it.

Great fan!!
This is the cutest fan I have ever purchased!! I've never installed a fan before. This was really super easy. I'm 60 and installed all by myself. The fan works wonderfully in my primary bedroom. It is super quiet, and will blow Artic breezes if you turn it up. The perfect fan to add a little glam to your room!!

Lowered from 5 Star review.
YOU CAN SEE MY ORIGINAL 5 STAR REVIEW BELOW, but after a few months our wonderful fan stopped working suddenly. I can no longer recommend this fan at any price. There is absolutely nothing to not love about this Fandelier! It is easy to install, the fan is whisper quiet (and forceful!), plus my wife thinks it is the most beautiful light fixture she has ever seen.I'm 71 years old, but I can still climb a ladder, even with the assembled unit in one hand, then easily hang the Fandelier before doing the wiring; this is truly a one-man job. The plug-and-play connectors really simplify the wiring between the remote and fan; the only twit-cap wiring required are for the White to White and Black to Black. My old fan used two wall switches (a dimmer for the light and a toggle for the fan}, so there was a Red wire from the wall dimmer that I simply capped inside the ceiling box. The remote that comes with Lodadra Fandelier gives you all of the range you could want while using the fan or light. You can install this unit in under an hour if you watch the video once, or twice. Then watch is again during the install, pausing it after each step, then watching the next step. I felt I was taking a big chance buying an item that had no stars or reviews, but I am so happy I rolled the dice. I won't be surprised it this fan sells for over $200 once people start spreading the word regarding this great Fandelier. Good Luck! One very impressive thing to me is reversing the fan blade. I have found that I prefer using the fan in reverse, for gently moving air around the room; Setting 1 in the Forward direction provides substantial wind force, which is too much for me. When you turn the fan on in the Forward direction (clockwise) and you want to change the direction to Reverse (counterclockwise), you simply press the Reverse button and the fan will slow to a stop, then within a couple of seconds it will start in Reverse, slowly and smoothly. It is really fascinating!

Ceiling Fan w/retractable blades
This is the most beautiful ceiling fan I have seen. It is so unique with the retractable blades, but the light itself is gorgeous. A conversation piece for sure.

Very nice unit!!
The media could not be loaded. Read the instructions, read the remote manual. Then use a little common sense. It wasn't a rocket-science install, but there are some differences from installing the ole standard ceiling fan and light kits of old. The control box handles lighting and fan functions. The motor and light unit plug into this box and it is hard wired. The light "kit" is a magnetic circular unit of led lights. Once the motor unit is mounted, just pop those lights up and plug them into the pigtail. I do wonder how long the light unit will last, as well as the control module since they are proprietary units. But, for now, its working great and looks great. And pick up a couple of AAA batteries so you aren't scrambling at the last minute to get em'

Installation Challenge!
First the good news. The product looks good once installed. Remote is fairly easy to use and you can dial in the brightness of the light. The fan is exceptionally quiet. The entire unit is lightweight so won't stress your fan box. It's also nice that the blades come installed and balanced, so you really don't have to mess with that, and it's well-packaged.Now the challenges. Installation instructions were mediocre at best. The cover over the junction box which hides the mount is way too small, given the size of the remote control receiver box that has to be hidden in there. You will be hard pressed to stuff in that receiver, all the wires, the connectors, and the wire nuts. The short downrod makes it almost impossible to attach the cover plate screws unless you use a right-angled, allen-wrench type phillips screwdriver. The cover plate (and the lighting element) are held in place by magnets, not my favorite attachment method for a vibration environment. Lastly, recommend you install the plastic faceted light shade to the fan base BEFORE mounting, especially if you don't have help (and two ladders); it's almost impossible to hold the shade in place while attaching the screws. I wound up taping it to the fan base so I could thread the screws. You will also need two AAA batteries for the remote to test the fan (not included).Bottom line is my wife is happy but I used a few bad words during the two+ hour install.Edit:The manufacturer reached out to me to confirm my review, and let me know that there may be some design changes coming. This is a good product that with a few design tweaks will really be a nice addition to your room. Given the customer support, I've upgraded my rating from three to four stars.

If your remote suddenly don't control your fan/light
Light/fan is decent, although an absolute pain to install, especially the last part screwing the cover plate on as the clearance is extremely short so you will need a very short/stubby phillips screwdriver or an angled one (like a allen key). Another thing: after 3 weeks, the remote would not connect to the unit. I found instructions from another buyer on Amazon.com, which I'm grateful for as I was about to disassemble it and return the item. I really don't want to do this after all the work I put in to install it. Here are the instructions: press down on the "Pair Code" button on the remote and hold it as you flip the wall light switch on. The light may blink and dim, then it comes on to full light. Release the button. After this, the remote is paired again and everything works again.
