Interesting and nutritious salt that serves as a great finisher.
I will admit that this is the first time I have tried fleur de sel since I am so used to cooking with Himalayan sea salt, and assumed there was no difference. The intensity of the saltiness is nowhere near as strong as even table salt, and I will admit it can be easy to overdo it just to get more salty flavor. On top of that, this salt almost feels as if it has some moisture to it, but its just has a very light and flaky texture to it that I'm not used to. And after experimenting, this excels as the perfect "finisher" for your food. Once your food is plated, sprinkle this on top and that's when I finally tasted the difference. It's such a subtle and barely there flavor, and to me it gets broken down too much during the cooking process. I won't say that I'm any kind of fine dining expert, but this is what worked best for me to get the most out of this salt. And to add, this has been told to me to be even more nutritious than Himalayan sea salt. So that's another bonus. So in my opinion don't throw your older salt away just yet, but for finishing touches from grilled salmon to brownies this is a nice luxury to still have on hand.

Great finishing salt where you want the salt to shine
Resealable bag is great. I typically use a salt pig, but since this is noticeably moist compared to a thing of Morton’s, I’m keeping it in the bag. This is a great finishing salt. I use it on popcorn, to season salads, meat, and to sprinkle on veg. Anything where the salt is a prominent flavor (so good on steak).Yes, it is salt. But it does taste a bit different than run of the mill salt. Let this shine where you can.

Fine, fancy salt!
This makes a nice finishing salt for recipes! It isn’t as coarse as some other sea salts, but it isn’t as fine as table salt. It’s quite moist in the bag, so I wouldn’t recommend using it in a grinder or shaker. Instead, you can keep it in the bag and scoop out a little with a spoon as needed, then sprinkle with your fingers.

Works like salt but really messy
We are always willing to try different spices and seasonings, and this was a fun alternative to our regular salt. The crystals are a little larger than those in our everyday table salt, and finer than the pink Himalayan salt my mom loved. The salt is a little damp and needs rice with it in a salt shaker to remove excess moisture. The package itself is not salt-tight: it came with salt all over the outside of the bag, and has been incredibly difficult to seal ever since. We keep it inside a larger bag with a zipper seal to keep our kitchen tidier. Because of the mess, I probably would not get this again, but if you keep your salt in a separate container, you might be fine.

Nice Way to Elevate a Dish
This salt is thicker than most table salts but tastes similar to me. A little goes a long way as far as flavor goes with this salt so I see it lasting me a while! It is nice to elevate a dish. I especially like adding it to the top of eggs after cooking to make my breakfast a bit fancier. The sault is heavy and almost seems moist. I am happy with this product.

Better than regular salt
Great quality and value - big bag - usually flor de sal comes in small little containers for a big price. but honestly i don't see the difference in flavor or texture compared to the other brands from France.Exceeded my expectations ...

Best finishing salt
Fleur de sel Is the best salt to use for finishing off dishes like meats fish soups vegetables fruits and even desserts. It’s hand harvested from evaporated sea water that’s skimmed off the top crust. It is moist and flaky and meant to be used right before serving as to not overheat it and lose the wonderful unique flavor. This is a nice big bag and it’s good quality and should last a very long time. My husband absolutely loves this salt on his steaks.

Very salty and medium grind, decent quality
This salt comes in finer than what you typically find for sea salt or kosher salt, but also not as fine as ground up salt. It's pretty damp in the bag, which is typical for many sea salts, but this one seems to be more moist than others. However, it tastes notably more "salty" than others, a little bit goes a long way. While you can absolutely use this in your cooking, I think this salt shines most when sprinkled on top as a finisher.I wouldn't say that this salt will make or break your dishes, and blindfolded, most people won't be able to tell that this salt makes a difference to a dish. But if you know you put this in and are looking for it, this salt certainly makes a difference that you can taste.
