This stone carving of the Hindu Ganesh and presentation exceeded my expectations. I think the detail of the carving down to the crown, hands, trunk, and ornate background is outstanding. I find the labradorescence fascinating, as well. This is the iridescent reflecting or diffracting of light, into blues and greens from the feldspar, located within the labradorite. On mine, these iridescent hues mainly appear towards the right side. The left side tends to look a dull grey. My statue is translucent, which allows some of the light through. The back shows different variations of gray tones.I ordered this item because I enjoy stone carvings and was intrigued by the symbolism. I also chose the labradorite version, due its expected durability and notably increased ranking on the Moh’s Scale of a mineral’s hardness. The Ganesh statue arrives well cushioned within a tasteful, drawstring bag, which appears like white satin. The bag is set within a compartment of a stylish box, hosting an external ribbon. I love that the ribbon helps facilitate opening the drawer! There are numerous cards, stickers, and information provided.The ancient symbology of Ganesh is equally interesting as a deity of “luck”, “good fortune”, and “remover of obstacles”. It is compact, about 2” x 1/2”, yet it is a good size to carry around, hold in your hand, and fit onto one’s small altar. I believe this would make a neat gift.

We are collectors of pretty stones and crystals, but I had never heard of Labradorite before. I had to look it up and liked the way it looked in the photos, but the photos I looked at didn't do it justice. I would post a photo of the item I received, but, again, it wouldn't do it justice. This little statue is so pretty! I love how it has a lovely blue/green color to it and it is pearly looking, like a blue mother of pearl or something. I can't describe it well enough for here. It is really pretty. I think it is priced a tad high, but, upon looking up the stone, it seems like the price is about average for this type of product. You can find stuff larger and cheaper, but I'm assuming most of the cost is associated with labor to carve it. The size is small, it will fit in the palm of an adult hand, but it is still pretty detailed on the carving. I'm not sure about the bringing good luck part, that remains to be seen, but the statue itself is nice and I really like it. I also came in a nice giftable box and had a couple of stickers with it, I'm not sure why, but they were included.

This item is small enough to fit into the palm of your hand, your purse, your car, etc... It is very well made and nice addition to my house.I do love the way it was put together in packaging and the company that produces it. They actually plant a tree with each order you make which is something we desperately need in some areas.

I love this! It is easy to travel with so I always have protection in me.
