My meowing, urinating, declawed, neutered 7 y.o. male cat becomes sedate and snugly the minute I put this thing on! I was at my wit's end - every night he would circle around the door, meowing and spraying. The worst part was while housed in the bathroom over night, he began to urinate puddles on the floor. Our relationship had broken down significantly, requiring excessive amounts of time cleaning after him, and I began to consider just letting him run free despite the risks to his safety. I had paid hundreds to a cat behavioralist and on products - sprays, new food dishes, additional litter boxes, different kinds of litter, fees for labs and vet exams, stimulating toys, calming treats, etc. and this is what finally has brought peace into our home at last! I am very appreciative of the product and recommend it if your pet sounds like mine! We have been using it almost 3 weeks now with no more pee in the bathroom at night and a much more calm kitty in general. The best part is, I actually enjoy being a pet owner again!

I bought this Calm Cat coat for one of my cats that has jealous, aggressive, fighting behavior toward the other cats. I like it very much... easy to wash, soft, nice-looking, and easy to put on the cat.Unfortunately, my cat hated it! She was very dramatic in pretending it weighed 5 pounds and she couldn't walk normally in it! She would walk funny a little bit, then flop on the floor, feet in the air, in a "helpless" manner. Within a half hour, in another room, she managed to tug it off, left it on a chair, and was walking around like it didn't exist in her world!Another point the BH Pet Gear company should consider is that their size Large is not large enough for some fat cats! My problem child fat cat weighs 15 pounds, and this coat was too small for her. I stretched it as much as I could, and still the velcro barely met around her middle. I would suggest the company make an Extra-Large for large breeds and for old, spayed (drooping belly), fat cats.I am going to keep it and put it on her every time she starts another growling, hissy-fit fight with one of her siblings. Even if it doesn't calm her, it will distract her in her efforts to get out of it, and may then act as a deterrent to picking fights!

My cat Luna has been a terror to live with for years, ever since she was a kitten. She's single-minded about things in a way that is beyond normal cat stubbornness, and is very aggressive when food is involved. She used to outright attack us and draw blood whenever there was food around, EVEN IF THE FOOD WAS ACTUALLY FOR HER. I lived with all that and just dealt with it but since I brought home my most recent cat, Cas, it has become unbearable to live with her. She hates him. She hunts him down across the house to beat him up. It isn't like typical cat fighting. She doesn't stop after getting in a few good swipes or avoid him and only attack occasionally, she just looks for him wherever he is and tries to kill him until someone physically separates them. We had to keep them separated and that means confining one or another to a small room and they both hate it. I was at my wits end and thought I was going to have to put her on psych meds. But my friend convinced me to purchase this first.I was not really happy about the size. Luna is tiny and even though I got the smallest size available--and measured her, thinking she would just fit it--it was still too big. However, I got some more velcro and rigged it to fit her. While it isn't perfect, it stays on and is just tight enough. When I first put it on her she fought me and then freaked out, as I expected, and walked around like a drunk cat for a while. A while later she just acted normal, so I wasn't sure if it was even working or not. I let Cas out to see what would happen. And she... avoided him. They've been out together for a few days now and they mostly avoid each other. When they do fight it's normal cat fighting--brief and then they separate and avoid each other some more. That's not all. Luna stopped attacking everyone over food! She willingly let my other cat Ichabod share some food with her, and she even sat and took treats nicely from my hand today without biting or scratching me! I also caught her and Ichabod cuddling earlier which is highly unusual. She and Cas still hate each other but they aren't going to kill each other. It's like I actually have a cat instead of a psychopath. I am thrilled beyond explanation.Despite the sizing issues I have given this product 5 stars because of the way it transformed my situation and my cat. I would definitely recommend it to others.I am also going to add that as I'm writing this she is curled up in my lap, content and calm. She hasn't sat still this long since she was a kitten. Amazing!

Worked perfect for my kitty - for her first flight on a plane. I was very concerned about all the noise and commotion at the TSA checkpoint because they ask you to remove your pet from the carrier. I could just envision that she was going to come unglued and go flying out of my arms into the airport - never to be seen or heard from again. However, wearing her stress relief coat she was one cool cucumber. Never made a peep or a meow for the entire checking process - we were taking to a separate room where I removed her from her carrying case - they took the case back out to be scanned - and she had a 'pet down' by an agent. All the while remaining very calm and quiet. A perfect lady for the entire day! Highly recommended if your cat is anxious and tends to be outspoken in these situations.

Very small..I buy large and it doest fit on my cat. And its look like already use... I wait for my refund.

But in December. The cat loves it. Way better with it on (he wears all the time) but he has ripped a hole in it :(

Better than the other brand. Fit is better and less velcro., my cat prefer this one.

Great quality but the size didn't work for my cat. The measurements for size are off from what is described.

This didn't work for us. The strap that goes around the neck isn't intended to be attached tightly but as a result my cat often puts his paw under it to try to take the shirt off and ends up with one arm above the strap and one arm below it. It took my cat a while to be able to walk wearing it and on the second time wearing it he went under the bed and managed to take remove the shirt on his way under. Not much point in using it if he can just take it off.
