Great customer service
The first salt generator lasted only about 6 months. I contacted the company, and they issued a no hassle refund. They told me that they have an upgraded version of the salt generator that fixed all the issues with the old model. I purchased the new salt generator knowing that they will stand by their product if something goes wrong.

Easy to use with good display of conditions
Very early review, but we decided to try a salt water system for our pool. It's an above ground pool, but not a big pool.We hooked everything up. I was worried about how the water pipe connections would work, but it comes with everything you need to transition from a temporary pool's pump to this contraption. It also can be connected to a regular rigid PVC system.I got everything hooked up and dumped a bag of salt (make sure you buy pool salt because it's finer than what you put on your food). After a short time this product told me the salt level was a little low. I added some more and got it to the right level. The display is pretty easy to understand. And you just have to plug it in to a regular outlet so no electrician required. (I say that as an electrician)So far so good.

Not a bad salt pump.
No paperwork in the box and can't really find anything on line. So far it seems to be working ok. I've been using it for a couple of months so far so good

Complete Junk. Does not work at all.
Buyer Beware. This is a shady company with shady practices. I bought this salt system based on price and reviews which were mostly positive at the time. Installation was quick and easy but shortly after, I started getting algae where I had not before. I fought with it all summer, but what I noticed was the water was always salty and I was never reminded by the unit to add more. It went on like this for nearly 2 months with me having to treat the pool with weekly chlorine shocks, thinking maybe the unit needed more time.I went looking for the manual and found nothing. Then, I went to the link for the product when I bought it. It shows as "unavailable", where now this listing exists. The old listing now has 2.1 stars. This listing shows reviews for golf shoes among other things. This is a classic "bait and switch" with sneaky Amazon sellers. They take a listing for a basic product with good reviews and swap it for a different, higher-priced product. If you want to waste $200 on a product that looks like a salt system, but isn't, by all means get this one.

Pleasantly surprised
I have a 12x24 intex pool and have struggled with the Intex brand chlorinators. I went through 3 of them and the titanium plates all ultimately died leading to error codes.I ordered this one and was concerned when I read the directions since there seems to be some relationship between Intex and Westaho - Intex is referenced and the salt tables all show Intex-specific pool sizes. I figured “more of the same”.I did ultimately try it since I bought with points. In short - it’s much better - no errors and no leaks. There’s also some nice features that the OG Intex one didn’t have.First, no loud beeping when an error code is thrown. The previous Intex units would all make an annoyingly loud beep on error codes and I hated that. With this one, it’s visual - at least for the “low flow” error code. Which brings me to my second point… My pump is on a timer and goes one/off periodically throughout the day. If the generator is on and the pump shuts off, it stops making chlorine and shows “low flow”. Then when the pump turns on again, the generator will automatically start producing chlorine for the programmed amount of time. I like this feature since I don’t have to be too precise with the start time on the chlorinator - just the run time. I believe the previous Intex units wouldn’t do this and would require you to reboot on any error codes. So, overall very happy. I’m producing chlorine without errors and the unit works better for my setup, but time will ultimately tell.

Worked great when it worked
Out the gate i'm going to give this 3 star, because when it worked it worked great but my unit only lasted a month. With amazon there was really nothing i could do but return it.What was broken is that the timer was stuck on the hours left, in my case it was 12 and for 3 days it would just sit at 12 hours the entire time. There was really no indication that it was working as the lights were not on either. It was really easy to install if you already have a system, but it doesn't have an extra hose that is already the right size so i had to buy one, i didn't want to use a 1" hose when everything else is 1.5"

Chinese junk
Didn't work straight out of the box. Gives a low flow alarm. Connections were made to have flow in the correct direction so it wasn't that. Filter pump was putting out excellent flow as well. It was simply a defective item which should have been caught before leaving the factory if they had any quality control whatsoever. Tried looking up the manufacturer and you can only reach them via email or chat, not phone. Chat is pointless unless you do it at weird hours since they're in China. Sent it back and got an Intex brand. It was lower cost and better quality, plus they have US based customer support.

Didn't work from the start, waitng on a reply from customer service!
Installed it with 2inch piping as recommended, went pretty easy. It let me set the timer to 12h and then after that all it showed was flashing CL and the red light on "no flow" . I have a new pentair pool pump that can go up to 3500 RPM and still shows " low flow " I highly doubt at that speed there's low flow . I guess I'll have to wait and see how good this customer service will be.
