When I play this cd in my car, I have the overwhelming urge to sing, so I do !! I turn it up loud and sing at the top of my lungs !! I love it, it takes me back in time and I know all the words, not like the music of "today", I can actually sing all the words.

Al still moves me. After that heavy scene in "Book of Eli" where Denzel listens to "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart", I had to get this cd. Great choice. The cd version of that song is the exact pristine copy as in the movie. The entire cd will bring back memories and Al sounds just as fresh now as he did in the way back.

this is the best single disc retrospective on Al Green's music. it contains all the well known hit.s Al green is easy to listen to. I found this album relaxing.

EXCELLENT all the way around. This used CD had excellent clearity. I have several Al Green CD's but I have to say this one is the best of his greatest hits.

What a musical treasure Al Green has been! This is a good cd. And you get a cd too. I've never seen him perform live so the cd was a treat

This is probably the best overall single disk Al Green album available. It contains nearly all of his best songs, with Here I Am (Come and Take Me) being the only important hit missing. There are several excellent songs on this disc which some other notable compilations (including the famous Al Green-Greatest Hits) neglect to include. Simply Beautiful and How Can You Mend A Broken Heart, two of his best ballad performances are not included on that CD, with its rather stingy ten tacks, but are present and correct here. The main thing is that this CD is sequenced very thoughtfully, making it a pleasure to listen to from start to finish. It has just the right balance of tempos and moods and every song justifies its right to be included. If you were only able to get one Al Green CD, I'd definitely suggest this one.

This is ok as far as it goes but there are better collections out there that are superior to this one.

If you like Al Green this is a great CD
