My first review was on the negative side. The company replaced the device and it works fine.
I still must say that the instructions could be clearer or better detailed but the crimper works fine. I apologize to the company for my original rating for I was at fault also.

Difficult to cut 3/16" SS cable for deck cables
The hydraulic crimper works great. Watch when the two die meet. I was at first putting way too much pressure while crimping 3/16 cable. There's an over-pressure valve which I caused an oil leak. It was easy to replace the oit. Twist the case and there's the oil container. "mechanical 20 oil" is actually hydraulic 68.The cutter is too small. Description says up to 3/16" cable but the handle of the cutter is too short to get the torque required to cut any more than 1/8". You have to put your whole body weight down onto the narrow handle on your palm to get the cutter to start to cut which causes pain in your hand. Then you have to rotate the 3/16" cable several times while trying to cut to actually get it all the way through. If you need to crimp 3/16" I recommend buying a large 18" cable cutter.

Die and Crimp took less than adequate t
I’m creating cable rails for my deck. I bought this hydraulic crimp tool to make up fittings. So- no matter how hard I tried, a tight crimp to grip the cable was not happening. The #6 die was either too large or it wore out very quickly. This resulted in a lot of wasted parts; the cable pulled out with little effort. Also, it didn’t take long for the crimping to stop working. Now I am stuck with it since I am outside the 30-day return window. Well- I will have to get another kit, but not from Blika

Outstanding hydraulic crimping tool but a bit of a mess to store the jaw dies..
I was very impressed by the sturdiness and build quality of this crimper. The valve seats securely and the hand lever builds pressure immediately to begin to stroke the cylinder. Opening the valve causes the internal return spring to immediately retract the cylinder and open the jaws. The tool is compact to let you get down into the engine compartment to access the ends of battery/power cables and crimp in place rather than removing cables and building them on the bench. You certainly can, as this tool can also be clamped in the vise and operated in place to crimp ends on cables. This makes the tool even more versatile. The tool and related jaw dies come in a very sturdy blow-molded case, that will easily last the life of the tool.If I were to complain about anything, it is that there is no chart provided that references jaw die sizes with battery cable or terminal end sizes. Maybe you are expected to know this? There is also no labeling of any sort inside the case that helps you organize all the jaw dies in specified locations to make it easy to grab the right pair of dies (once you have figured out what size you need). I also encountered on numerous occasions that carrying the case with the dies and tool inside would cause 1/3 of the dies to fall out of their storage location and down into the case. That could be better..Oh yeah, you also get a bonus set of cable cutters/pliers, but understand that these really only appear to open wide enough to cut 6 gauge cable. I'm not sure why they wouldn't give you cutters that are large enough to cut actual automotive-sized battery cable, since that is what the crimping tool really accels at, but consider it a bonus. Oh yeah, there is also no good place inside the case to store the cutters - They will flop all over the place along with 1/3 of the jaw dies!

Handles are two short, added pipe to increase power stroke. Worked great

Works good, but needs more leverage on the pump handle
I'm using these to install wire railing on my deck, I'll be making a total of 88 crimp connections and after just a few, my arms started hurting (completed 44 so far). The pump lever needs to be about 2 inches longer to make it easier to pump, but outside of that it worked really well. I learned years ago that the difference between 8 inch and 9 inch electrical pliers made all the difference in the world when it came to cutting through wire, just a little longer handle would make these awesome.
