Women's 1950s 60s Vintage Rockabilly Halter-Neck Swing Dress

This dress is SO cute. I followed the measurements provided by the company and ordered a large. It fits perfectly through the waist but it is a bit big on top ( this is a common issue that I have though, so it was not really a huge issue). The dress is totally adorable on, and seems to be well constructed. I want to get this dress in at least one other pattern and I will plan on ordering from this company again! Side Note- I did order a petticoat to wear under the dress to make it more full, and that is necessary to achieve the full look that is shown in the pictures ( I ordered Dressystar Women's 50's vintage Rockabilly Petticoat in Red)

Ordered size Large. I'm 35-29.5-37 measurements. The Large is very comfortable for movement while Ballroom dancing. The color is vibrant. I have the red, black and white ones. I don't like tight fitting clothes, this size is very comfortable for me. Only downside is the material wrinkles easily and is a little "stiff." A very easy piece of clothing for just about any type of event, just change the shoes for dressy or casual look.

The dress is beautiful, what I got in the mail looks just like the one in the photo.It looks like cotton material, it's true white and it is NOT see through.I'm 5'8", the dress falls just below my knees... this (for me) is ideal with any pinup/vintage style dress. There is an invisible zip on the side, I had minimal issues zipping up, but I did need help.I'm a curvy plus size woman with a little extra fluff around my belly, I usually wear 14, bra size 38 D. I ordered a size large. It fit well aside from my one complaint.I'm returning simply because it shows way too much cleavage, the v-cut is VERY deep...my sternum was visible. I didn't want to modify the dress, or buy any sticky pasty anything to get the bust to sit right.Otherwise I would have kept it. Hope this helps the curvy ladies! :)

Heeding the advice of others I ordered a large. I am typically a 6/8 and have a very petite upper body so I could have gone with a medium, especially with the stretch at the mid-section. If you have a larger rib cage then it might be a little snug, so definitely order up. It fits fine though and came incredibly fast! I will say that I'm glad I got the petticoat for underneath. It's thin and falls flat without it. I was also worried about the low cut and it actually looks very tasteful and is sexy in a modest way.I would say that the dress should be more in the $30-40 range in my opinion. I haven't cleaned it yet so I can't speak to its durability, but it will look great on me for my event which is Breakfast at Tiffany's themed.

Based on other reviews I purchased a size M, which fits as I expected. The waist is a hair snug but after 2 kids everything is snug there. The white trim is not exactly evenly spaced around the dress and is a little sloppy. The dress itself is good material. Some reviewers complained about wrinkles and folds, well it was shipped in a small package it needs to be steamed or pressed. I think people don't realize everything you buy in a store is steamed before it is put on a rack. The ribbon is cheap and I expected it would be from other reviews so I will use my own. Overall the dress is exactly what I expected for the price and fits my needs. My biggest gripe is the weird placement of the cups. I can see why some would complain about the bust being tight, they sewed in padded cups and unless you are tiny and super perky, like poke your own eyes out high and tight, no ones boobs are going to sit perfectly in those cups. The dress doesnt need them. You can easily wear a nice bra with it. And its not easy to remove them, but possible with a few strategically ripped stitches. Just know what to expect when you buy this,I would still buy it again. Can't wait to wear it.

I bought the blue dress,I had high expectations of this dress since it was on the pricey side, I was going to wear it to a wedding but i'm thinking of sending it back. This dress is very cheaply made. The fabric is very thin and you can see through the skirt part. The seem in the collar in the middle needs to be sewn down. The white trim that runs along the bottom is only about 3 inches towards the end so It does not look like the display picture. The bow that comes with it is no where near the length it was suppose to be, it also has a lot of creasing in it from being folded instead of rolled up. The seem where the skirt begins is way too tight while the top part has no shape at all and is way too big, it looks like a potato sack. Mind you I am 5'5" bust is 36 and waist is 30. Pretty upset since I fell in love with it only to be disappointed.

I am very weary of online clothes shopping since it can be so hard to find the right size. I read through countless reviews and gathered that I should order a size XL (I am a size 12 in dresses, 10 in pants with DD chest). It fit like a charm and the girls looked great. There is a stretchy panel on the lower back of the dress which allowed me to slip it right over my head and also made the dress a lot more comfortable. The material is a little scratchy but really nothing too noticeable. I bought a Maggie Tang petticoat but forwent it because the dress has a little volume on its own. Great price, too. Paired SO WELL with a cute little leather coat. I wore this for Halloween but am excited to wear it for other occasions as well.

The media could not be loaded.  Love this dress! The stretchy back is great at accommodating different body types and has a side zipper. I am a 36 G so the chest area is a little small (definitely sporting side boob) but over all I am able to wear without a bra and it looks good. The zipper can be felt under my arm and the fabric needed a steam every time so if you are sensitive to texture and want a dress that is hassle free this might not be for you. Still love it though, and would buy again.

Excellent quality fabric, same as on website. Slightly too large around the waist, but has an elastic waist that can bring this in. A beautiful dress.

Ich habe dieses Kleid in XL (für Gr. 44) bestellt. Es kam auch ein XL an. Aber es war viel schmaler geschnitten als die Kleider sonst. Das Muster und der Stoff waren sehr schön. Schade hätte mir gut gefallen.
