As straws go, these definitely stand out: they're tall, twirly and have a golden disco ball to give them that tiny little extra bit of class...In truth, the glitterball looks better at a distance; it's a small polystyrene globe covered in golden tiles, and I have severe doubts as to how long they're liable to stay intact; a bit of a shame, given the price.Still, if you're celebrating something, these will jazz the night up!

I wanted to try these as the curly straw reminded me of my childhood and who doesn’t like a glitter ball. The straws themselves are great and work well, the glitter balls not so much. Inside the packet I could see bits of square mirror had fallen off some of the polystyrene balls. On closer examination there were also loose bits of mirror about to fall off, and the area around the hole in the polystyrene ball looked unfinished and rough on some. To wash one straw I could easily remove the glitter ball (I did this fearing more bits of mirror would fall off), but when putting it back on a piece of polystyrene came off and got stuck inside the top of the straw. Not the best design, and the balls are unlikely to last, but the curly straws are pretty decent.
