Absolutely stunning read!
Love the author's creations and characters, a fast moving plot that explains the world/magic without being Tolkien verbose!I'm totally hooked on this series.

Highly recommend
This book single-handedly brought me back to reading books. I haven’t been obsessed with a book in years and this book really brought me back to that amazing feeling. It’s obviously very similar to Sarah J. Maas books, the author takes a lot of inspiration for her books. But that’s why I love it. The plot is great, the pace isn’t too slow or too quick. The world is built without too much time being wasted. And the love story is just ugh. Enemies to lovers but more like forced proximity trope. Highly recommend this book, can’t wait for the next. Will be pushing this on all my friends to read!

Expectations a little to high
My expectations were a little bit high, because of the praise it got. The price also gave me high expectations (25 Euros Paperback). I must say, I was a little disappointed. There were a few thing bothering me. It really has a lot of similarities to Acotar and ToG. This made me alsmost not finish the book, but I kept going. There also was A LOT of vomiting. Who vomits that much? The story was very predictable. The FMC just found out she has magic and of course, she has rare abilities. Everything she learns, she knows how to do it immediately. 1 person explained how to use her different types of magic and she got it right away. I kind of wished, she would struggle a little bit more - it all felt to easy. The FMC finds out she has wings. But till the end of the book, she still doesn't know how to fly and doesn't really try it.I started liking the book after I finished 3/4 of the book. That's when the story felt a little bit more authentic and not a copy of Acotar and ToG.I liked the ending, so I will most likely read book 2. But was it the best book I read or was it the best book of the year? No, it wasn't - I'm sorry. Still keep up the good work :).

I loved this book!
I loved everything about this book. I'm reading all these negative reviews from ACOTAR fans and wondering if we read the same book. There is room enough in the book world for all the similar books to be good. And this one definitely was. The characters were well developed and the storyline was fun and intriguing, keeping me reading long after I should have put the book down for the night. I wasn't a huge fantasy lover before this but I sure am now!
