Awesome Product
Don’t know how we managed without this before. It is well built and bottom is solid. The large size is comfortable enough for a Shepherd to move and lay down. The pipes that give support to the sides are a bit flimsy and bent when the dog puts its full weight but we replaced them with 1/2” pvc pipes, works like a champ, the zippers are a bit tuff once new but they loosen up after a few uses. It does take up room once it’s folded but it fits in the trunk. Overall our dear Shepherd travels very comfortably and safe.

My Dog’s New Favorite Car Hammock…and Mine, Too!
**Note: only works with SUVs or vehicles with a larger back seat! I drive a Model Y and it fits snug but well. I’m not sure if this would have fit in my old Model 3. I know someone who this did not fit in their VW Golf Sportwagen.I have been using dog hammocks for years, but when our baby came along, the full backseat hammock suddenly didn’t work so well anymore. Sure, you can fold it over on one end, but my dog sheds a lot (photo evidence LOL), so having one side open just created a path for her fur to blow over the side and up under the hammock, making cleaning even more of a nightmare. Since I’m fortunate I can take my dog with me to work, I needed a more “permanent” solution to allow her to ride in the back every day, while also leaving room for our toddler and his Evenflo 360 Slim rotating car seat. When I searched “half hammock,” this was one of the solutions that popped up. What I love even more than if being a half a hammock, though, is that the bottom is hard! My pup was always unsteady in the back seat, and cutting her space in half made me feel even worse about that. But, she actually seems happier in this hard-bottomed half hammock than she ever did in the soft ones! She is a lot more relaxed and comfortable having the hard bottom.Pros:- Half size so people or car seats can fit next to it (works with Evenflo 360 Slim)- Hard bottom gives dog more room, stability, and comfort- Manufacturer added some nice features like optional piping around the top to create a true square shape- Pockets for storage- Multiple buckle positions, so you can alternate it from one side of the car to the other easily- Mesh sides to allow ventilation into the dog’s seating area (hammocks can tend to cut off the airflow, especially in hotter months - this doesn’t!)- Easier to clean and vacuum pet hair off of than other hammocks I’ve owned (hair doesn’t embed as easily)- Nice attention to detail overall with piping, stitching, and Velcro covers around the corners- Good fit for SUVs, trucks, or other vehicles with larger back seats (does work with Model Y both 5 and 7 seat configuration)Cons:- Rigid and can be a bit difficult to zip up (unzipping is no problem)- Does not work in smaller vehiclesOverall, highly recommend! I think the “daily commuter” actually using it would agree. ;)

Room for improvement but a great dog car seat
My wife and I have bought many dog car seats in the past, and this has been the most impressive one so far. It fits both of our 15-pound dogs comfortably. It only occupies one seat, so it still leaves two seats in the back for passengers. The ability to take down the side makes it easy to bring our dogs around. The item is tall also, so it protects the interior door from dog scratches.I decided to only give it 4 stars because I think there is room for improvement. The zippers are a bit cumbersome to deal with. It gets stuck often when we have to bring down the side panels to let the dogs out. I applied a zipper pull to it, which helps a little. The other issue is the bag it came with. It's too small once you've attached the PVC rods to the side panels. I do understand that to store it, I would have to remove the rod, but that too is a cumbersome process.

Well made, nice features
Love this dog seat. We bought two of them for our Australian Shepherds. They are perfect for them. I was able to put both seats on the back seat of our Equinox. I had to modify a bit and put one side of a seat under the other so they overlapped just a tiny bit. With the pvc rod that stiffens the side wall it worked great to have the one seat make the barrier between my girls. They tend to get rambunctious with each other, by having separate spaces, I can have them “seat belted” to their harness for safety. Also the sides zip, but also have a Velcro attachment. On the outer sides towards the doors we just used the Velcro to put up the side. Easy up and down. Travel was so easy, safe and comfortable for our pups. The seats are really easy to put in and take out of the car too! 😊 Highly recommended. We love them!

It’s the best
Man this thing was great. I have an older pitbull. It helped him quit sliding around in the car gives him a nice solid place to stand and it’s lasted a long time too. It keeps them contained so you don’t run around in the backseat and tear stuff up definitely a must have if you have a car you want to keep looking nice

Very Good Product
We bought this for dog so that he could ride in the back seat rather than in the very back of or SUV and would not get hurt falling off the seat or be uncomfortable and it has worked great. Our dog has his own space where he and sit or lay without the fear of falling. To add some extra cushion for him we did add a blanket and he keeps a toy in there as well. It was very easy to install and the one that we purchased was the largest size and one side of the rear seat of a Ford Explorer. We don't have to worry about him sliding off the seat if we brake harder then expected and he has plenty of room to lay down if he wants to.

Zippers aren't working properly
I want to love this seat, as it is exactly wanted I needed for my pup, but for the money the zippers are extremely cheap and don't work from day one! I can't open one side at all, and it's very difficult for my dog to get in and out on her own, since the side only opens half way, not leaving lot of space for the dog to get in between door and small opening. And the whole issue defeats the whole comfort of the seat. There's zero way to contact the seller to resolve this. Except return it and wait another 2 weeks for amazon to ship a new one, since their Amazon drivers constantly messing up our orders in our location and we get lame excuse how they couldn't find it (we are the only house on a private road..).
