Eva WinnersCassio: Belles & Mobsters

Once again, I loved the story, the strong couple and female lead. Loved the action and pacing and how the other characters from previous and future books for this series are included. It's just so natural. So why did book 1 get 5 stars from me and 2 & 3 get 4 stars? Same reason, the author seems to be bypassing professional edits and even basic spell check edits. This book wasn't as riddled with errors, missing words, the word "had" and wrong words that are spelled similar but one added or missing letter changes the whole meaning as book 2, but it was still enough to mess up the flow during critical scenes. About 2/3 through I got fed up and started submitting corrections through the Kindle app function, but I'm not being paid to edit a book I bought, so I'm not planning on continuing doing that. I hope the author starts using a professional editor instead of basically submitting a draft of the book or an unedited ARC, which the last 2 books felt like. Hoping I can give the remaining books 5 stars. I'll keep reading the series unless the errors don't get cleaned up and it just becomes too frustrating to read.

They are mafia with a moral compass . They do all of the illegal criminal activities that the mafia is usually involved in but also save women from trafficking. They respect and protect women and children which I love but they also still k!ll the bad guys.Áine was a 14 year old girl that he saved from traffickers 9 years ago. When she waltzed into his club like she owned it as a gorgeous grown woman he remembers her but she doesn’t remember him. She’s the reason he rescues trafficking victims. She’s his reason he keeps going when he’s tired.Áine has a lot of bravado but she’s actually mentally scarred from her experience with the human traffickers. She’s never been able to get close to man or let one touch her without having panic filled terror. When she meets Cassio in his club the first time she doesn’t get that feeling from his touch. They are drawn to one another like a magnet. She always assumed she was broken. She still doesn’t know she’s met him before or that he was the one who saved her as a child.Secrets and lies are exposed . Betrayals and mistakes come to light. This one was a bit disjointed and I still loved the story but didn’t get as into it as previous installments of the series. The pace was slower than the other books in the series as well.Áine really annoyed me most of this book. No matter who told her Luca and Cassio didn’t traffick women or support traffickers she still didn’t believe him and would have a sarcastic attitude throwing it in his face that his father and half brother were traffickers . Even her own father told her and she still made snide remarks and was disgusted and wanted to take out all of the Kings. If they had that last name she thought they needed to be unalived. It was annoying to say the least. That’s also why she’s my least favorite of the heroines in this series. She was also very oblivious and naive.This was still a great book and I loved seeing the other characters from the series. It wasn’t my favorite but still a good read. I am excited to find out what happens to the rest of the crew so I will soon dive right into the next book in the series!

Great story in a series of great stories! However, there are a lot of grammar and formatting, errors! Lots of typos too!

The stories are good but the couples are getting to similar. These are also very wordy, to much repeating. Loved Cassio character.

This is the third book in the Belles and Mobsters series. Though each book is standalone I would recommend reading in order.Cassio and Luca rescue a girl from a very bad situation. She is not in good shape at all. They do this because Callahan asked them and would in turn give them a favor in return.Fast forward 11 years later.. Cassio runs into Aine at his club but she doesn’t remember who he is. But he hasn’t forgotten her..Aine is such a kick as* female character and I seriously love her fire. I feel like maybe all redhead are spitfires haha.Anytime Cassio and Aine were together it’s like the room faded and omg did sparks fly.. like ahh I am going to need a minute after 🥵😮‍💨.

Wow. Love Cassio, how he loves this woman and how he waited years for her. Loved how it all worked out. Not a fan of large age gap, but it worked for them. This is not a simple story line but an exciting and complex series. I also love how this author is able to bring in all the characters (from previous books) and it works very well. Cassio & Aine strong H&h. Loved it. Another great mafia romance and series. v

I think out of the Belles and Mobsters books I've read so far Cassio's story is probably the least intense. In saying that it doesn't mean there's less drama and Cassio is still Possessive but in a way he and Aine fall in love very differently from the other made men.Cassio is part of the King empire in name only, he and his brother Luca are nothing like their vile father or half brother. They want nothing to do with the trafficking empire that their father ruled. In fact along with their brotherhood they've formed with the other men in this series they fight trafficking trying to outlaw it in their territories and free those captured.Cassio and Aine met when she was only a teenager and a victim of the trade after she was kidnapped, he and his brother with the promise of a debt owed rescued Aine from the clutches hell and returned her safely. Something happened that day setting Cassio on his path of purpose to fight against trafficking at any cost. When their paths crossed nine years later Aine was the scared teenager anymore but a beautiful young woman they had a brief encounter but then went their separate ways though neither forgot the other. Aine hadn't been able to get close to a man without freaking out but somehow with Cassio she didn't recoil at his touch but she couldn't remember him as the man that rescued her or where they'd met b4 as she had undergone hypnotherapy. Cassio tried to call in his favor seeking Aine's hand in marriage but her father wanted her nowhere near the underworld. Cassio being the man he is never gave up and weaved a plan to ensure that Aine would be his wife and patiently waited another 2 years before putting his plan into action. When their paths crossed again it was all calculated but the heat and chemistry was still there between them and even though it was all planned and wrapped in lies they both fell in love organically with Aine in the end wanting to marry Cassio not being able to see her life without him 💜It wad nice for once that it wasn't a forced marriage around deceit and lies. They became a couple who fought their enemies together.Definitely Recommend Reading 📚

I’ve been waiting for Cassio and it did’t disappoint. This story follows Cassio and Aine, the Prime Minister’s daughter and a young teen he met when he rescued her from human traffickers. Her trust in him was life changing. Ten years have passed and they meet by pure chance. Many twists and turns. Suspense, revenge - captivating read.

I really honestly can’t wait for the next one. I love Cassio. Sure hope we get a story for Luca too. Definitely recommend this one. It’s a great a great mafia series

Strong passionate and captivating characters with an alluring, engaging and enticing storyline. Cassio and Áine’s story is absolutely consuming! Wonderfully written Eva👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 A definite MUST read!
