This was very spicy.
I did enjoy the taste. But it a little to spicy. But nice taste.

Good taste
This is a tasty marinade with a dash of chilli heat that turns tofu or roasted vegetables into a flavoursome dish with little effort. I cubed my tofu (also works with paneer and halloumi) and marinated it for a short time before frying, which produces a tasty, crispy coating. The product is quite thick and ready to use straight from the jar. Once opened, it needs to be used within 6 weeks, but otherwise my sample and subsequent purchased jar came with a shelf life of 18 months.

Super delicious and easy to use
Nice kick off spice and great rich flavours. You can use this with meat or a vegetarian option. I tried a little bit with store-bought soy pieces. The flavour is very full and flavourful. Would recommend!

Excellent marinade with tons of possibilities
If you are a fan of spice, you are likely to have tried jerk before, and obviously jerk chicken is the most traditional Jamaican jerk-seasoned dish. I have made jerk marinade before, but the ingredients list can be a little off-putting and you end up with a lot of marinade in the fridge. This pre-made marinade is excellent as it's enough to do for three or four meals. Once opened, you have six weeks to use the marinade up which I think is perfectly reasonable and gives you plenty of time to experiment with different meats and vegetables. The ingredients list is refreshingly natural with no palm oil. Plus, the marinade is 100% veggie and vegan, so you can marinade tofu or vegetables. As with all marinades, leaving your protein of choice in the marinade as long as possible will add loads of flavour. I used tofu for my first experiment, as I wanted to use something that was a sponge for flavour so that I could really assess the taste. I was really impressed: the marinade is spicy with the definite flavour and heat of scotch bonnet chillies, but it was tempered by the other flavours so it wasn't just heat. It also tasted very fresh and vibrant. I fried the tofu and the result was a crispy, flavourful dish I served with rice and salad and a yoghurt dressing, not perhaps the most authentic jerk dish, but the great thing about this marinade is that you can try different things out and fuse different cuisines together. Excellent!

The taste of the Caribbean
The jerk marinade is bursting with flavour. It's a mid level heat that doesn't build too much despite being seasoned with scotch bonnets. You get hit with a sweet, tangy and hearty onion, garlic, scotch bonnet, thyme, and allspice flavour straight away. It has that authentic Caribbean flavour. If you've ever tried Caribbean food and couldn't quite place the flavour, when you try this, you will recognize and love it instantly. Usually jerk sauces and cooking pastes are too hot. But this sauce has the right amount of heat so you can really enjoy it. It is perfect for making Caribbean-style stews

Very tasty with a dash of heat
I love Chilli Mash Co products and this jerk marinade is no exception. It’s perfect for Caribbean recipes and it gives a huge dollop of flavour and a hint of heat to your culinary creations. I used it to marinade paneer and it was out of this world.Once opened, it needs to be refrigerated and consumed within 6 weeks so it’s worth finding a couple of recipes to make as it’s not cheap (but well worth it) with a £6.95 price tag (at the time of review).

Tasty and spicy
A good complement to prepare different types of dishes. The quality of the ingredients and the preparation are good, achieving a good final taste. The list of ingredients is quite long but almost all of them seem to contribute and there is nothing unusual or chemical. And looking at the nutritional table, it does have a high sugar and salt content, but nothing surprising for a sauce. This means that the flavour we get in the final dish is good and fresh, it goes well with a multitude of main ingredients or base dishes. As for the level of spiciness, this is always very subjective so take any opinion with caution. If you eat it on its own, a good level of spiciness is noticeable but with food it is an appropriate level that allows you to also taste and enjoy the flavour of the other foods. The smell both uncooked and cooked is very good. The best before date is about 18 months from purchase. However, as with all foodstuffs, it is recommended to use only a few weeks after opening. Given the ingredients, I believe that it can be kept longer, although it may lose some aroma/freshness/flavour.
