We have a 10 x15 canopy that we use for tailgating and use these in all kinds of weather conditions. I chose this particular model of ground anchor because the spiral auger part was welded the entire length and it had a large eye hook that allow tie down hooks like those on ratchet straps to be used. We use a 1/4 cordless impact tool to install into the ground and the only time we had any difficulty is when the ground was frozen and the temp were in the single digits .These stakes have always held and never pulled out of the ground.

I was not sure how well this would work but it was very easy to install and remove. I used a small Ryobi drill and screwed the stake all the way in straight down and it backed right out. I installed it at a 45 degree angle and that went perfectly. They included a carry bag, covers for the points, socket, and a small brush. The welds look good. I don't expect them to go through rocks or anything but they should be all i need for temporary antenna installations.

These ground anchors are the best! We used them on our last camping adventure & the anchors held firm in the downpours we had. Held our canopy with no problems all week. My husband liked how easy it was to drive them in the ground & remove them when we broke camp with his impact drill. So much quicker than hammering the plastic ones we had. Well built & look like they will last a really long time. We spray painted the tops of them orange to find them easier. Many of our camp partners were impressed with them as well. Highly recommend them!

First these are some pretty bad larys they held my tent and my crapper tent down with the strength of God during a really bad storm and never budged from there spot honestly I do t get amazed at little things like that but this has amazed me real easy to put in the ground and even easy to take out every tent structure or things that can take these are getting them

They work great in gravel , soil,and clay. Hold tight and are of good strength. I used them to hold down a pop up canopy while camping.

I used these for the first time last weekend to hold down a 10X10 pop up tent at a craft fair. I initially drilled them straight down into the ground, all the way until it was just the connection ring above the ground. I connected the ratchet strap and, with almost no pressure, the stake pulled right out of the ground with a light tug on the strap. I was shocked.Having no other options at the time, I decided to drill it down at a 45 degree angle and use almost no tension on the ratchet strap. The strap was dropped straight down from the tent and now pulling vertically on the end of the stake which was drilled into the ground at 45 degrees. That definitely held better, but I did not pull up on it too much. I ran home and got some weight bags to add some additional security.I was installing the stakes into grass and soil (South Florida). Maybe drier, more compact ground would hold better.The build quality looks good and I really do not have any complaints about the quality of the product. I just think that the threads are too small to actually provide any real holding power. I will use them again, but only in conjunction with weight bags. I do not trust that these stakes will hold the pop-up tent down, if we encountered any wind. For a small camping tent, I think that these stakes would be fine.
