Gemini Keeps Capricorn (Signs of Love Book 3)

Another terrifically witty and slow-burn addition to the series.
There is just no way I could pick a favourite book or couple from the SoL series, each one is as thoroughly entertaining as the last imo. Course, being a stubborn, pedantic, rule-obsessed goat myself, I immediately empathised with long-suffering Capricorn, Lloyd, whose patience and self-control are repeatedly tested when his BFF, Wesley, flirts shamelessly with him at every opportunity, whilst remaining convinced they’d never work as a couple due to Zodiacal incompatibility.Usually the whole miscommunication trope is something I avoid as I find it eye-rollingly contrived, but Wesley’s obliviousness with regards to Lloyd’s feelings for him was so sweet and innocent, and felt entirely authentic. Yeah, it was also beyond bloody frustrating at times. But it’s this achingly slow build up to the guys realising and confessing their love for one another, that I’m a total sucker for. As with its predecessors, there’s very little actual sex in the book, but the ever-present ST and innuendo more than makes up for it.There’s some lovely supporting characters too, namely Wesley’s brother Caleb, who was not only a true friend to his big bro, but a real hoot and refreshingly mature sounding 17yo. But it’s the dry humour and snappy comebacks that steal the show for me as always. They’re relentless. And admittedly have me chuckling like an eejit throughout. It’s another triumph as far as I’m concerned, and I’m now off to read short follow-up book - Gemini Rules Capricorn.

Love this series.....
4.25 stars for 'grumpy' Cap Lloyd and his Gem Wesley, which I liked better than Scorpio Hates Virgo (Signs of Love) I have to admit, but which still isn't in the same league as Leo Loves Aries...the story I've voted for in practically every category of this year's Goodreads M/M Reader Awards [within reason of course, some categories are just not practical 😉]. I loved catching up with Jamie and his JLM partner Theo, and their future plans.Couldn't understand the fascination with Elvis Presley or 50's Rock 'n' Roll, but each to his own as the saying goes, and have to admit I was particularly irritated by Wes and Caleb's stupid mother ☹, who was obviously several sandwiches short of a picnic...'gaying' really?? I really can't believe that the widow of a judge would be so ill-informed and moronic...but what do I know?? I really did love the mystery boyfriend thing that Lloyd and everyone one else was in on...and when Wesley finally caught on, perfection!! Thanks Anyta!! 💜

A slow burn romance to curl your toes :)
I love, love, love Anyta Sunday! Her books never fail to make me laugh, grin, swoon and shake my head at the adorable cluelessness of the characters.Wesley and Lloyd are no exception. The chemistry, wit and compassion between these two kept a cheesy smile on my face the entire way through and I could not put it down until I'd finished the entire thing. This book is packed to the brim with butterflies, lustful glances, scorching kisses, a clueless, head-over-heels Gemini and a rule-abiding (most of the time) passionate Capricorn. A gorgeous gem of a book with a fantastic HEA.P.S. Capricorn's are the best ;)

A fun, quick-paced, and enjoyable read.
I always enjoy Anyta Sunday’s stories. Her writing and characters always draw me in and keep me reading to the end.Signs of Love is a light-hearted series. Each story has a little angst and a lot of UST.Gemini Keeps Capricorn is a slow burn (more so than the others), and although the characters are endearing and there’s plenty of witty banter, this story didn’t grip me quite as much as the previous 5* story (Scorpio Hates Virgo). The writing is snappy with plenty of short sentences and the action is quick-paced, yet the plot seemed to plod a little. The UST is maintained for the best part of three-quarters of the book. I kept thinking, “Are they finally going to kiss now?”Wesley is a law student and Lloyd is the RA for their dorm. He is patient and helpful and has great self-control. As he’s not allowed to be in a relationship with any of the students under his care, he has to bide his time and maintain a friendship with the needy Wesley. Even so, they spend a lot of time together as friends, teasing about not being suitable for each other due to their birth signs, and end up in a sort of quasi engagement as part of a plot to annoy Wesley’s homophobic mother. My heart went out to Wesley towards the end when he thought Lloyd had a real boyfriend. Wesley is a very likeable character, full of fun, and considerate of his brother, his friends, and also his customers at the coffee shop where he works.I enjoyed the coffee quips at the beginning of each chapter and the last quarter of the story in particular. We are treated to a few kisses and one detailed steamy scene.

Captivating and funny
I can't praise Anyta Sunday enough. I hadn't heard of her books before this year, but all of them have swept me away, and Gemini Keeps Capricorn is no different.
