Ocha & Co. Kyoto Uji Japanese Matcha Green Tea Fine Matcha Powder 50g

I have bought many products from Amazon over the years, but this is the first I have reviewed, as I feel such a reasonably priced and high quality product deserves commendation.Compared to similarly priced matcha offered on Amazon, this is remarkably fresh, vividly green, and pleasingly rich in 'umami'. I suspect this is due to their advertised practice of ordered the tea monthly in small batches, and sending it over directly from Japan. I have ordered quite a few other matchas at a similar price point (and some double or twice the price) from Amazon, and this product is far superior to them all. Moreover, the service was excellent, with the tea arriving carefully packaged.This is a delicious tea and great value for money: highly recommended.

I can’t fault this matcha, it’s very delicious and so much better than a lot of the western brands that try to play their hand in the matcha game. It’s the best matcha I’ve had, and I used to live in Japan. Would definitely recommend this one to anyone who’s looking for an authentic matcha product that comes directly from Japan. It’s very delicious, just the right level of bitterness and very smooth. I’ve just repurchased my second lot! Thank you to the matcha farmers for this high quality matcha!

I don't have any previous experience with matcha tea, so I won't compare it with others. I did some reading about matcha, about the different colors, the different types and this really falls under the 'high quality' category.I was really satisfied with the texture, the taste and the overall quality of the product.The resealable bag is a nice touch and it's sturdy enough to keep the tea safe.I can highly recommend it for drinking it by itself or as my favorite, matcha latte. I know some of you might frown hearing me waste this special selection for latte, but this stuff is better then coffee.Also unrelated to the quality, the product arrived well before the estimated delivery, which is a big plus in my book.

I’ve only been drinking this green tea for a week and I am now fluent in Japanese. I was so impressed I decided to try it as an aftershave, only to find a coach of screaming Japanese women arrive at my house, but they did apologise profusely. Sumimasen. Sumimasen.I’ve tried many green teas and I found this to be one of the best ones if you want to whip up a good froth for that tea ceremony experience. It’s a nice vibrant green with a grassy smell when making the tea, even though it is sold as a premium matcha I found it pretty close to Heapwell Superfoods stoneground ceremonial matcha which I also liked.Clearly batches can alter, but for its frothiness I will buy it again. Remember, it may take a little longer to arrive as it ships direct from Japan.またね - mata ne

I don't ever write reviews, but this is a gem - I've been looking for a decent matcha powder for a while, and I have ordered nearly 10 different high grade matchas recently at once to do the tasting. This is an undisputed winner. I've tested a number of much more expensive ones, and this is truly authentic and at good price.So I highly recommend and hope this review will be useful to someone.Best wishes,N

Ocha & co matcha is consistently good ,the price is reasonable and it makes a good starting point for a newbie .I have purchased a fair amount of matcha from ocha & co and can testify to the fantastic customer service .

Quick dispatch and delivery. But oh boy , this is possibly the worst matcha I have ever tried. The colour is vibrant bright green and smell is fresh and grassy , tastewise however it is bland and the powder itself lumpy . I was disappointed to find out that this company is not the same as O.cha.com , which was the company I thought I was ordering from. In any case , I suppose this matcha is good for culinary uses but definitely not for drinking.

Fabulous quality - color, taste and seller experience. I've sampled multiple matcha teas, and this is my favorite.
