Flood Buzz Blue Model: Water Leak Alarm for Water Heater Pans

This little thing is a life-saver. Installed it a little over a year ago and had almost forgotten about it. Cut to over a year later and we wake up to a constant high-pitched alarm from the basement. The water heater was leaking and the pan was half full with water. All this two days before Labor Day and we were preparing to leave the house for the weekend. Needless to say, our Labor Day weekend plans were spoiled but other than replacing the water heater, we came out of this with no other damages. For 20 bucks, this thing is totally worth it!

No issues, working ok.

The unit alarmed when tested before installation. Unit was received/installed 8/18/23 and is labeled "replace by 3/2026" so the 3 year battery is only good for 2.5 years.

My plumber told me about this product after I had a slow leak. I bought it to be alarmed when there is a leak.

So far no issues. When I tested it in water, it definitely made the sound. It’s gonna be helpful. If something happens to my hot water heater.

It was probably was a great monitor but for the cost I didn't appreciate getting one that had been on the shelf that long. The battery cannot be replaced so the whole unit has to be replaced so I would expect one with fresh batteries. I returned it unused for a monitor that had replaceable batteries.

It is convenient with the right price.

Very compact and easy to install. I have had no occasion for the alarm to go off but hope it works if and when the water heater begins to leak.

Battery only had one year left.
