These are the best water barriers
My porch was done over and it was a botched job as the floor with new tires wasn't leveled properly. It sinks towards the center. I have an enclosed porch. At the threshold where the door opens, the step was not steeped downward. They made it slightly upwards. So now when it rains or pours I have a pool in my porch. Well, I placed two of these mats right at the door entrance, and for the past two days I haven't had to replace or wring out anything. I'm so happy because that rain water is freezing. These worked perfectly. And, we're getting more rain for the next few days. I haven't had to change or add another mat. They are filling up slowly with no leakage. Definitely recommend these if you're in a flood zone, or have flooding in the basement area. Great job, Great product!

Great alternative to sandbags
We bought these for the upcoming hurricane season. They worked really well around our doors during the storm. One down side was that it took a really long time for them to lose the water for storage. Otherwise I have no real complaints. It beats waiting in line with the rest of the city for sandbags

Waste of money
I bought these for emergency, and sure enough, we had a coastal flooding two days ago. I pulled these out of the box gave them a shake, and put them right into the water that was about to come into my house...they sat there an hour and nothing...with the wind and movement of the water I had to keep checking on them so they wouldn't float away...they puffed up on one corner a but did nothing to prevent water from coming...towels worked better than these. Don't waste your money.

Dry sand bags
My icemaker stopped working, and the repairman said there was something frozen in the bottom and I needed to defrost the refrigerator in the freezer for 48 hours and then I would need a lot of bath towels. I ordered these bags and they are absolutely amazing. They came overnight, which is a godsend. There were no instructions on how to use them. I went online for an hour and couldn’t find anything so I just overlapped them on the kitchen floor unplug the refrigerator opened up the doors and let it defrost for 48 hours. These bags absorbed all the water it didn’t even get the area where I put bath towels wet. They absorbed it. The bags were dry and the floor was dry at the end of 48 hours, it’s like magic I thought $38 was a little high but boy they are well worth it. They work so well and they are reusable that makes it well worth the $38. I didn’t have the mess or the mopping just lay them out I didn’t want them before hand. I just lay them out dry on the floor And overlapping it and they are wonderful. I highly recommend them.

Don't swell up as shown.
These water dams do swell up but not nearly as much as is shown in the picture. I literally put one in a shower pan that was backing up. The ones I received don't seem to have much product inside. Very disappointing. Double the amount of product inside them and they might be worth something.

Flimsy but Works
Recently the water line to the sprinkler unit would not stop leaking near my patio door. It was starting to puddle and thankfully I had these to try out. I only ended up using four but that was enough to stop any water from entering. I would say if it's super windy this might not work fast enough to absorb standing water as each one is fairly light if you're used to sand bags. I'm not sure if these are reusable but will try the same bags if we get heavy rains.

Great for flooding garage
My garage floods every year. It comes through the door and we're scrambling to get the stuff that can be damages out of the way. These work GREAT!! We just put them at the edge of the door and they keep the water from coming in!!
